I want to sue my neighbor for using really nasty fabric softeners when she washes her clothes. The wind blows the smell through my house when she does it and in the summer I have to have the doors and windows open. Same goes for another neighbor who uses charcoal lighter fluid still, nauseating petrochemical smell on hot days blowing through the house. Haven’t people heard about charcoal chimneys yet? :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: But the smell of cooking meat is awesome! :cowboy_hat_face:

Wow, that is ridiculous…

We have neighbours that are annoying too (not on our street) but on the street behind ours (our backyards facing same way) a few doors down, they blast their music all the time, like starting in the early morning, so loud!!

It is when they are swimming I think, in the backyard, so soon it will stop as most people close their pools down around this time of year due to the fall weather coming. I have never called the cops on them or anything but it is annoying and we can hear the music inside our house and they are down 3 and behind us on the opposite street.

When I have trouble hearing my TV inside my house due to other people’s music that is when they get a knock on their door. After that I get the police involved if there is no change. I will however cut people some slack for an occasional party.

I was too lazy to walk down to the end of our street then all the way around to their house (15 min walk) to do this… our backyards are close but getting to their house is not close -I am not explaining this well… they are the street behind us, the backyards separated by fences our side/their side, except they are not the house behind us, they are down a few houses).

My daughter has the same problem with her neighbor using scented fabric softener. She has multiple chemical sensitivity, so she has to keep her windows closed.

I had the neighbours behind us complain to the cops that my kids were too noisy jumping on their trampoline and in their tree house during the days when they were little. I told the cop… they are kids, the neighbours can bloody well move… guess what? they did… muhahaha!

If the noisy kids are in my yard I say something, if they’re just on the other side I do not. Roaming packs of bored kids always make me nervous. One of them was whipping rocks at a rabbit in my yard and he got yelled at (future serial killer?) but other than that, I’m not a crazy lady, I swear. :rofl:
