It’s not the most interesting of videos, though probably better than I would make but, the flatbread recipe is sound and looks like it’ll be really good. If I remember, I’m going to make some tomorrow.
How to make 1 carb keto flatbreads - Vegan | Keto
Thanks Allie, I’m going to try this too, although I’m going to calculate my own carb values because her 1 carb claim seems pretty low for almond flour being 1/4 cup per flatbread serving. I have Anthony’s almond flour and it’s 2 net carbs for 1/4 cup, I don’t know if there’s a difference between brands like there is with coconut flour.
Only thing i wonder…is taste…i would think it would taste pretty bland…
I’m going to try it as she’s made it first, but think some herbs would likely make a nice addition to the flavour.
Agreed David, the calculation does seem off based on the almond flour I use too.
Bread usually kind of is, as long as it’s salty it’s good. You could sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds on it.
Taste is fine, I made four from the recipe rather than the six it said could be made. The dough mix holds together well. I took one to work today and ate it wrapped around some cheese. The only thing that’s a bit odd is the colour. I’ve heard of psyllium husks going a strange colour when used for cooking but this is the first time I’ve had it happen
But still, I have another one wrapped around cheese ready for work tomorrow…
definitly your psyllium husk.I had that problem with a Maria Emmerich bun recipe. Ended up with purple buns. Till i changed my brand of psyllium.
It didn’t affect the taste so not an issue. Strange though as I’ve always used the same type (actually same pack ) and this has never happened before.
I made the video version. Her measurements are OFF, it’s 1 cup of almond flour… I also had to roll them in oil to get them off the Silpat. They are quite good, I must admit.
