How do you season your Tacos?

(Jesse Lonsberry) #1

I’m thinking about making a taco salad for dinner but I need some advice on how to prepare the meat. In the past I’ve always used taco bell seasoning packets but since going keto I have come to realize that those are loaded with wheat flour. How do you guys season your taco meat?

the last time I made tacos I just googled “taco seasoning”. Mix all together and keep extra in a glass jar for next time.

I’ve used this one and it works.

I usually make up a jar of this by multiplying everything by 10 and keep it on hand

Make your own Taco seasoning
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons paprika powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 – 2 teaspoons onion powder or garlic powder
1 pinch cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt (optional)

Look up Alton Brown’s Taco Potion #19.

You can cut the cornstarch, although I don’t. It’s not enough to matter.
