How do I know if I'm fat adapted?

So I’ve been on keto since may 30th & ive lost almost 15lbs. I haven’t really been able to set a good routine with my eating schedule. I walk 2 miles a day, I also do intermittent fasting and eat twice a day. I have not used keto sticks as I don’t find them necessary!! If I’m losing then I’m happy:) but I definitely want to be fat adapted!!!

This was a big one for me for a while (like months)… I felt like I needed to KNOW I was doing everything “right”. After a while (and seeing results! (40lbs at the time)), I realized it just isn’t important for me. I’m not doing this for medical reasons so “KNOWING” I’m “in nutritional ketosis or fat adapted” isn’t really important. Feeling good is important.

BTW: awesome job losing 15lbs in 2 weeks!

Keep Calm and Keto On!

Thank you so much!!! You’re definitely right!

The longer you can go without eating and without hunger, the more deeply adapted you are. This assumes, of course, that you have body fat to burn.

If you go 24 hours, and you’re not getting hungry, you’re pretty adapted. If you go 48, you’re more deeply adapted. Etc.

This is the easiest way to tell. And, the only side effect is potential hunger…
