I tried to make some solid Easter eggs yesterday. FAIL! Despite lots of recipes saying cocoa powder + cocoa butter + sugar (not for me) it just doesn’t work. Sugar does not dissolve in fat. At all. And the Truvia I used didn’t work either
Homemade chocolate
How high did you heat it? I use powdered erith and can get it incorporated into most anything.
It wasn’t powdered and not very hot. Remained really grainy, better than the sugar version, but I think I used less too.
If you want to do something like hot chocolate you might look into getting some Swerve Confectioners sugar. Makes life easier. Or you could go the low road and grind up some of your Truvia in a coffee grinder to make it powdered…just a thought.
I haven’t tried making from scratch but Imade these last night for my daughter who is sugar free. She reacts really bad to sugar and turns into a different kid when Ishe has had it about 3 days later. She is only 4 and really wanted normal chocolate so Incame up with this on the fly.
If it was for me I would use dark chocolate but I used 75g Well Naturally fruit and nut milk chocolate (they use erythritol and stevia for sweetener), about a tablespoon of cocoa powder and 113g of coconut oil melted over a low heat. Set in the fridge overnight.
