Geez, this really sucks depriving myself like this!

That’s what my GF’s sister told her… I don’t know why you want to deprive yourself with that stupid Keto…

Yea, poor us  lol

So here’s a shot of our Keto burgers tonight… Mine was 2/3 lb, my GF’s was 1/3… As usual…
She baked the Keto buns and they were better than any flour bread ever made ! Of course, I grilled the burgers on the BBQ… Because what doesn’t taste better that way ?

Threw on a generous portion of cheddar cheese… Mayo, sliced pickles, jalepeno’s, tomato, and lettuce.

Don’t even know how many cals, and don’t even care ! Lost 3 more lbs in the last 3 days…

And, I don’t even have to think about food until breakfast. Unfortunately, we are a little late, so I’ll only go 14 hrs this time.

But anyway, whatcha’ think ?

So let me tell you a little story about myself, Chris. I’ve mentioned this before, but this is a good place to rehash this.

Eating for me used to be a chore, meaning I never really enjoyed eating, it was just something I had to do. You know, to live, right? I thought I had favorite meals, but really they just made me feel worse, because I could eat so much of it, I would be miserable after eating it. Pizza, anyone?

Since I’ve been eating keto, and only eating food that’s good for me, I have truly learned to love food! I literally get excited when I think about eating certain meals. I actually savor my bites, and take my time chewing them, because I enjoy it so much!

The keto diet for me hasn’t been restrictive, it’s been liberating!

Darren, I SO know what your saying !

So I ate that huge burger, and I feel so good now. Not bloated at all Just super comfortable. Good until breakfast :slightly_smiling_face:

Funny you mentioned pizza though… My GF is going to be making a Keto crust in the next few days, for a nice big fat Keto pizza :slightly_smiling_face:

And BTW, I worked in a pizza restaurant for many years. I’ve eaten enough pizza to fill a traincar… So for the last few years, pizza hasn’t been much of a draw, but I think this Keto pizza will be different enough to be fun :slightly_smiling_face: Plus I’ve probably only had regular high carb pizza 4 times in the last 4 years. So I’m not so burnt out on it now :slightly_smiling_face:

That burger looks delicious, you should definetly send a picture of it to your girlfriend’s sister =).

People just do not understand the Keto life until they have lived it I guess… but yes, I am feeling way better now then I have in ages… and I have a lot of weight left to lose, but it is coming off, slow and steadily and I am feeling great.

Wait? What? Are you holding out on us for an amazing bun recipe? Come on give us the recipe or we are going to all show up on your doorstep and demand KetoBurgers FishChris style!!!

Your right. So many people just don’t get it.
All I can say is, to me, depriving myself means going around hungry most of the time, dwelling on my next meal, and having to use will power to control myself. The Keto way of eating is just none of those things.

(Dirty Lazy Keto'er, Sucralose freak ;)) #9

No, it’s a really common one…

3 cups almond flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3 eggs
4 oz cream cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella
4 tsp melted butter

I’m telling you, it’s better than any store bought bread :slightly_smiling_face:

Ribeye, bacon, salmon, avocado and seared tuna steak every day… such suffering

Wait … isn’t that what the rich people eat?

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

(Marianne) #12

That is a beautiful presentation - very appetizing. My husband and I continually say, “do you believe we can eat like this!?”

(Marianne) #13

You could eat a half pound of bacon.

(Marianne) #14

Me, too - we’ll get there!

(Dirty Lazy Keto'er, Sucralose freak ;)) #15

And I do, plus some ! So I was just thinking about this this morning, and I buy those big 3 lb packages of bacon ends and pieces, and I turn one of those into 4… or no more than 5 breakfasts…
So the pre-cooked weight of my bacon serving (obviously you lose a lot in the grease, although I try to use some of that, and certainly don’t drain it) is like 9 to 12 ounces… So yes, always a half to 3/4’s of a lb. Is this a lot ?

(Marianne) #16

Good question, but I don’t sweat it. Actually, I bet bacon is close to 75/25.

(Dirty Lazy Keto'er, Sucralose freak ;)) #17

I’ve actually been eating much leaner pork loin for the last couple days…But, I cook it with a bunch of butter, then cook my eggs in that butter too, then, when the eggs are done, I pour all of the butter over the plate  Got to keep those fats up !

(KCKO, KCFO 🥥) #18

Totally agree. I’m a foodie and this WOE has opened up a whole new way of preparing foods. I enjoy that as much as the eating most days. I’m always looking for better non grain recipes, used to just open up the package and dump in the noodles or open the cracker package. Now it is all adventures I can have while fasting, finding new things all the time. And even better, adding in all the buttery, baconey things that I used to think I shouldn’t be eating.

Yeah, darned Keto, so depriving, NOT!!!

(Marianne) #19

My husband cooks bacon in the oven on a large cookie sheet and saves the fat. When we cook leaner cuts of meat (boneless pork chops, chicken breast), we will slice them up and toss in bacon grease. Delicious.

Bacon! Where is the bacon!
