I get what you’re asking. I put the flour and baking powder together. I beat the egg separately and add it to the dry ingredients. I add the softened butter and beat it all together. You can let the butter come to room temperature or use the defrost setting on the microwave to soften it without melting it. (But I’m not sure if melting it would even cause any problems). ( I updated the recipe to add “softened” after the butter).

I doubled this recipe and did it in a 3 cup square gladware container. 90 seconds later I had two 5x5 slices of onion cheddar and chive bread. Broiled on high for 3 minutes and then topped with muenster cheese, 72 hour chuck roast, and mustard.

This was good enough it kept me from ordering a PMS fueled pizza binge.
