Food aversion

(Mich) #1

I did some research. I count my carbs(I don’t use net, is that bad?). I upped my fat. I wasn’t getting enough calories before and I’m probably not now.

So I started my diet last Monday and I’m down 5.6 lbs already. I’m not sure how to feel about this. I am quite a bit overweight so it may be ok?

But I have some extenuating circumstances. Mostly that I’m ADD and am on Concerta, which if you’ve ever taken any stimulant you know makes you have 0 appetite. One day last week I had actual food aversion. I couldn’t eat anything and smelling food made me nauseous. Also, I have a history of food issues relating to my depression as well. So I do intermittent, unwilling fasting. This is all made worse by the keto diet which also makes you less hungry.

But since I’m losing weight it doesn’t appear I’ve gone into starvation mode yet. However, does it sound like too much at once?

Does anyone else have food aversion issues have any tips for me? I’m trying to be low-carb not anorexic.

Also, Hi, everyone!

It’s all just water. Glycogen needs about 3 grams of water for each gram of carbs. I can drop 8 lbs easy…
