First longer fast and did not like the ending at all!

I have done several 24 hour fasts and when the mood strikes I find them very easy. Did one in the middle of this past week and fell into a fair amount of reading and talking about how the second day of a longer fast is hard for a lot of people.

I ate dinner on Friday, nothing on Saturday and found my 15K steps in the morning no harder than usual … on Saturday/Sunday I do them all at once (2 hrs+).

Today was no harder either, I hit the shower, ran some errands and then about 1:30 it started to look like rain so I went out to pull weeds. It cleared up a bit and got hot and I thought I was drinking enough and using LyteShow drops too. I decided to wrap up about 4p and clean the mess and before I was done I got light headed and a bit nauseated. Thought a cold shower would help and two glasses of very salty water. Had to lay on the bed for 15 minutes after and still felt poor.

Started to think low blood sugar, went to the store for a candy bar (milk chocolate) because I was a little panicked with all this. Took a nap for about an hour, ate some dinner and now I’m feeling a bit better.

Is this normal? Any suggestions on avoiding this in the future would be much appreciated!

I enjoy fasting, but you should always listen to your body.
You did the right thing to break your fast as you weren’t feeling well, but in all honesty a milk chocolate bar was probably not the best thing to break your fast with.
Maybe try incorporating some broth next time if you feel you aren’t getting enough electrolytes.

Always listen to your body.

Of you run low on energy while fasting then your body is probably not fat adapted enough at that moment to keep up with your energy demands.
