First 24hr EF

(Joseph) #1

hola y’all! I am about to embark on my first 24hr fast at about 8:30pm. I will be drinking water and black coffee. If I feel good about the 24hr mark I will probably go a little bit longer but my goal is 24hr. I have been doing 20hr fast so I am pretty confident that I can do a 24hr fast. I’ll keep you guys posted on my progress! KCKO!

Just remember to keep up with your electrolytes! I am starting an EF too (not sure how long).
Salt directly on the tongue apparently makes it super easy according to @carl

What do you suggest to keep up the electrolytes with?

(Linda) #4

That’s what I do and it works really well for me. I use the Celtic Sea Salt.

Mainly just salt. If you are taking magnesium, keep taking it. Normally this is enough. I’ve heard that it can be dangerous to suppliment potassium if you aren’t deficient.

Magnesium as well if you get muscle twitches or cramps. Epsom salts in the bath is how it is absorbed best according to mom.

So I was able to fast for around 27 hours. I felt great around hour 24 and decided to keep going. Then my mind started playing tricks on me and I ended up caving in and eating some fathead pizza. I do notice that the longer I stay up the more hungry I get. Maybe its because boredom sets in and I want to eat. I need to get back on track, I have been very laxadasive these past couple days not weighing out my food and portions and what not. Got some Arctic Zero ice cream last night and had a few bites without weighing it out. I am going to get all of my meal prep for the week done tomorrow that way I don’t have to worry about it. Going to try and get into the habit of prepping for the week. I also relapsed on bacon and sausage so I am no longer going the vegetarian route. The bacon was just too damn good smothered in grass fed butter.
