FINALLY.....a LC bun I can LOVE

In an oversized coffee cup or bun-sized
dish, mix 1/4 tsp baking powder, 2 tbsp almond flour, 1 tbsp flax meal, 1 tbsp
coconut flour, 1 egg, 2 tbsp coconut oil, 2 tbsp sugar free maple syrup.

Pop it in the microwave for 3 minutes and slice in half…a bun that tastes positively “bready”, holds up to a big burger, fried eggs and sausage, pulled pork…anything you slap on it! Heaven!

Whats the maple syrup adding? The sweetness of American bread?

Never seen that before.

Gives it a nice flavor and adds some needed moisture to the mix. I have made it without the syrup as well. Either way, it’s the best LC bun I have ever tried, hands down. Kills cloud bread and all those other eggy things that fall apart in a sandwich.

Mug cakes/muffins are great for if you want something really fast. If you have the time though, you should try these hamburger buns…they hold up exceptionally well, you can store them in the freezer for when you need them, they have a really nice tooth and taste yummy too. My new favorite!
