I’m sure we all have that experience of needing to bring your own food to parties just so there is something there to eat. Best if everyone loves it too. I look forward to discovering new recipes here. Here is mine:

Tahini stuffed eggs.

Cut boiled eggs in half mix egg yolks with olive oil and tahini to your taste and salt. Stuff eggs dust with smoked paprika. They are always a big hit, so make plenty.
(Also good to keep in the fridge for your next meal.

It’s not hard to find a good tahini at local stores… but if you want to make your own it’s even better.

Tahini
Toast 1 - 2 cups of sesame seeds on the stove. Let cool, grind in a blender add olive oil to make a paste. Salt to taste.
(great for cauliflower hummus, baba ganoush, tahini stuffed eggs. or just by itself with keto crackers.

Beef tongue pot roast. Simmer the tongue for two hours in a flavor full Court Bouillon. Let it cool in the liquid so it’s easy to skin. Reduce the liquid by three fourths while cooking carrots, celery, parsnips, turnips, rutabagas in it. Remove them when done before they get too soft. At the end add some frozen peas. Salt and pepper to taste. Remove the peas, cube the other veggies, thicken the sauce, an addition of Sherry or Red wine is nice, then add’em back in. Skin, cube the tougue in a dish, pour veggie mix over it.

I never get tired of the reactions people have after they’ve eaten it and I tell them what it is.
