Fat fast question: Dave Asprey Bulletproof Rapid Fat Loss Protocol

I’m thinking about doing this. Basically, it’s a 6 day fast with a 1 day refeed. On the fasting day, drink bulletproof coffee and eat fat.

My question is, do I need the supplements?

For me, salt is a yes.
Glutathione is a no (makes me sick)
Betaine HCL is a no? Is this for heartburn??
BCAAs and L-Glutamine are a no - wouldn’t they raise insulin, which is the point of a fat fast - to lower insulin? Does anyone feel that BCAAs would be a good idea?

Is this (6 day fast followed by 1 day refeed and repeat) unreasonably dangerous? Thanks!

too much, too fast, not sustainable

Thank you! I’ve come to the same conclusion. Dave Asprey does say he recommends people to do IF instead. I’m just frustrated and it would be nice if “effort” could speed weight loss, but it’s a waiting game.

I’m not doing this protocol.

If it’s from Mr Asprey you can be sure that it helps his bank balance more than it helps your body…
