I hope this is the right place… Ita my first time doing any EF. I have done 20:4 several times. Currently im not in a Keto state. I burnt the Keto car to the ground after some marital stress. Anyway… been reading the obesity code by fung and its great. I am wanting to know if using bone broth would be okay during my fast and how much? I have done one EF before for 5 days but i quit due to excessively feeling cold. I was not on top of my electrolytes. Same with hwc? How much per day? My plan is to include Jasmine tea or green tea along with water as well…

It’s much easier to fast when in ketosis first. I would recommend that first. If you want to skip that then I would suggest that you try intermittent fasting first and see how you handle it. If you can’t hold down a 20 hour fast then you will know that you need to get into ketosis first.

Try to keep total calories under 500 on your fasting days. The lower the better. If you’re getting cold and it’s bothering you than I would do a weekly fast of 2 -4 days and see if it helps.
