Dude, stronglifts is the best program ever. Progress Pic

(Dustin Sherrill) #41

Great work. I will need to check out the stronglifts app you mentioned. Very inspiring.

I stick to the same thing each time I break a fast, rib eye, pork belly, garlic prawns with salad, every time.
I eat that 3 times a week generally.
Though I’m attempting a 5 day water fast this week with 2 workouts during.

Hey thanks for the info, I didn’t know that.
Honestly, the program is working for me. I don’t really care about old mate and what he has to say, I like the workout and the reps and everything involved.
I used to crossfit and I can already deadlift 60kg, but I am starting at the beginning with this program to rebuild my strength and focus on my form.

And got out before you tore your body up? Good work!

(Katie the Quiche Scoffing Stick Ninja ) #45

Absolutely, whilst my trainers were fantastic with explaining work outs and focusing on form, it’s still a very fast paced environment with lots of room for injury. I found it so cliquey as well, I prefer to work out alone now.

(Running from stupidity) #46

Excellent. So many people I know only stopped when they simply couldn’t go on because they were too injured.

(Katie the Quiche Scoffing Stick Ninja ) #47

If I had to be completely honest, I’m a total cheapskate. (See what I did thar? )
I could not justify $200 a month for 3-4 sessions a week.

(Running from stupidity) #48

I was applauding mentally until you had to go and point it out

(Running from stupidity) #49

I meant to say that I was the same. I quit my $60/month gym membership for the same reason.

As Mark Bell always says “Strength is never a weakness”

Looking good! Congrats!

I can’t believe TJ ran out on her! #deadset

(Edith) #53

I love going into my basement to workout. I am much more likely to get it done if I don’t have to drive anywhere. Driving just adds that much more time. And as mentioned, it saves money. Win, win!

So impressed with your progress! Thanks for sharing your progress report and keep up the great work!

(Monique ) #56

Nice! Thank you for that.

(Katie the Quiche Scoffing Stick Ninja ) #57

Story of my life?
Nah not even, I DO THE LEAVING! I miss him.

(Katie the Quiche Scoffing Stick Ninja ) #58

Aww, thanks Tom!

I forgot about “one Rep Mike”

Today I did 7.5 double leg presses at 350 lbs; that’s more than 2x what I was doing (casually; b4 BodybySci) a month ago. Brenda, how much do you do? My goal is to catch up to you!
