Dog Keto

His ears and face look a little lab-ish to me. I love the brindle!

My Sophie eats celery and broccoli everyday, carots occasionally and fatty nibbles of meal proteins in addition to her kibble. She LOVES the broc stalks and I chop them up into a covered dish in the refrigerator after cutting off the tops for my meals.

Keto Zoe! She’s 15 years young and enjoying ever piece of bacon, bit of cheese, and sneeky slurp of fat coffee she can score!

Our 10 year old Australian Terrier is a Keto dog.
Everything raw and one meal per day.

Fatty mince or lamb offcut; plus
Lamb or chicken heart pieces; plus
Liver - lamb, chicken or beef; plus
A pastured chicken egg

No vegetable matter.

Pre-Keto :scream_cat:

So what quantity do you feed and how heavy is your beautiful pooch?

(paddy0761) #36

The entire meal is about the size of my palm. She’s only about 4.2kg. She doesn’t get the egg everyday. When we do an extended walk, or we have to leave her alone at home, she’ll also have a treat of dehydrated chicken’s foot or chicken neck.

Gorgeous!

(Melissa Feather) #38

I’m pretty sure this is one of my ALL TIME favorites!

(paddy0761) #39

Interestingly, she always eats the egg yolk first, then any liver. The rest follows in no particular order. I wonder if that is some sort of personal preference, or some form of nutritional instinct.

If you are getting a big dog to 15 years, then it is a winning formula.
