6 Weeks and only 12 pounds very discourage. At same weight for 3 weeks

This averages out to 2 pounds a week. This is healthy weight loss! Sometimes those non scale victories are worth it. Do your clothes fit looser? Do you have energy? Mental clarity? Take note if those things and do not solely focus on the scale.

Look at it this way: if you gained 12 pounds in three weeks you would probably be freaking out. Not losing for three weeks isn’t a failure because you are not gaining and if you’ve been doing keto right, your body has been healing. We often need to heal our metabolism before we can lose weight in a healthy manner and some people need more healing than others.

There are other reasons you might not be losing weight but I bet if you read up and follow the advice in @juice’s post, you will be on your way to recomposing your body.

IMO, it doesn’t get much better than saturated animal fats. We evolved and thrived on that stuff for eons.

The worst fats are trans fats and vegetable oils (except olive oil). The process through which these things go through so that they can remain stable at room temperature makes them harmful to our health.
