Dip that uses bacon grease?

At present I add a couple of tablespoons of avocado mayonnaise to my homemade yogurt dip, but I’ve been warned about PUFAs. I’ve considered buying mascarpone cheese, but it’s twice the cost of avo mayo (per unit of fat, which is the only reason to add it).

Meanwhile, I have lots of bacon drippings. Has anyone successfully added bacon drippings to yogurt dip?

I don’t have a blender and am not interested in mayonnaise recipes. I’m talking about just mushing the grease into the mixture with a fork.

I saw a recipe for something or other, that called for mixing the bacon grease with olive oil to keep the grease from solidifying. Would this be a good idea? Thank you.

Wow… great idea. I’ll be anxious to hear the answer to that too!

Look in the Recipes sub-forum for the recipe for mayonnaise made with bacon grease. It is apparently quite tasty.

Yes, thanks, I saw that. But I don’t have the facilities to make mayo.

I make bacon mayo then use it in recipes that call for mayo. I love my bacony ranch dressing. LOL

Yeah, it does take a lot of elbow grease if you don’t have an electric mixer.
