Cricket flour pancakes and muffins; the verdict is in

BLEURGGH :confused: had a slight fishy taste that I couldn’t disguise or tolerate. Pity as I had high hopes.

I can’t get over the gross factor enough to even try it.

Thanks for taking the bullet for us! I’ll pass!

Dang it, for a minute there, I had a solution to the little bastard who chirps under my bedroom window all summer. You were almost pancakes, Jiminy, count your lucky stars!

Sounds like fish batter is up next. Would be a pity if your fish ended up with a pancakey aftertaste.

Saw the Chirps on Shark Tank, and wondered why the used corn flower in them as well. Sadly the have 20g carbs per serving. So, I won’t be trying cricket chips anytime soon.

could this be something attributed to this brand in particular? I’ve seen some that are mixed with coconut and almond flours, i wonder if that would have the same taste.

#8

That’s disappointing to hear.

#9

IDK. If you see any let me know. I’m willing to try cricket flour chips.

This one is just crickets. I’m not sure how it has carbs. https://www.amazon.com/Cricket-Flour-made-100-22/dp/B00OMCTODQ/ref=pd_sim_325_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00OMCTODQ&pd_rd_r=KD40D4T0A8C3NK17PRT4&pd_rd_w=cwTTa&pd_rd_wg=zSpfH&psc=1&refRID=KD40D4T0A8C3NK17PRT4

@dabull yeah it’s 1 carb per 10g…
