Couple newbie questions

Alright I have Dr fung’s “the obesity code” and I’ve done IF before have never done an extended fast. How do you determine how long to go between fasts? I haven’t decided how long I’m looking to fast but is there a general ratio used?

Is “the complete guide to fasting” worth buying if I already have “the obesity code”? Does anyone know if they’ve fixed the kindle edition? A number of the reviews sounded like it was a lot less of a guide than the name implies. Any good guide type book or website recommendations? Thanks!

Listen to your body. Supplement with salt. You could set a certain number of hours or days as a goal. Just be flex as to when to break it.

What is the goal of fasting for you? That helps determine what is best.

In my opinion, yes.

Mostly weight loss. I had gestational diabetes with my son so that’s a potential concern in the future if I don’t do something but I’m not diabetic yet. Honestly most of the things I’ve read fasting is good for sound like something I could use lol.

I’m guessing fasting with a 2 year old at home is going to be pretty tough mentally if nothing else with cooking etc. Im hoping ill feel good enough doing it maybe 4 days while my husband is at work then ive got 3 days to cook ahead for the little monkey to eat while i fast, but over all as far as duration goes I would start and see how I feel .

I just haven’t seen anything that explains how long you should eat normally between fasts. So say I do ok on 4 days fasting is a 3 day break enough?

Yes, in my experience 3 to 4 days provides excellent results and is long enough for autophagy benefits.

Fasting is really easy once you are beyond four days.
