Cook book recommendation! Please help

#1

Hi folks,
I am looking for a low carb or keto cook book suitable for my kids. My oldest sonis 8 and loves to cook. DH is keto, I’m low carb becuase keto drops my supply- I’m breastfeeding, and gives me fasting hypoglycemia.

While the kids eat mostly Whole Foods we want to move them even more in that direction and stop all seed oils and refined carbs. To help With buy-in we want to have the two oldest pick a meal a week and then have them cook it- or help them cook it.

There are SO many cook books out there. Do you have one to reccomend for mostly Whole Foods recipies that is easy to navigate and would be appropriate?

Thanks!!!

My recommendation is not to spend money on a cookbook. There are so many websites out there for keto meals.

Visit your local library and check out a keto book if your really wanting a book.

Yes and that’s where I go for ideas. However my son is almost 8 and daughter is 5. I need something for them to flip through together- not surf the web.

I’m just starting Keto, and I bought the following two cookbooks. The beginning of each of them is a fairly lengthy and in depth intro to Keto that you can skip, since you already know what you are doing.
What I liked about both of them is that it includes pre-set meal plans, and shopping lists, so I wouldn’t have to do everything myself.

Maria Emmerich has a keto cookbook for kids - I’ve seen it on Amazon.

Anything by Maria Emmerich is great.

You could also go old school, Dana Carpender has good recipes too.
