cool post FB…you do have a way with words, not one doubt about that!!

You know it is a slightly aboding feeling but in a good way and also a needed feeling all at once to me. big ?? on it ya know. Like I NEED yet nothing will be sufficient and not one true hardcore fact I know I’ve felt before can be actually tied to it. I know for me cause I’ve had it before and will again I think.

Elusive. One day all us zero carb people might know. Different for each of us? No idea on that

It is nice to know it is not a bad thing, I put no worry or bad with it at all. But it is there, it is real and you said it, the myth appears from the mist.

Yes it truly is not a craving. It isn’t a long term need or want that stays with me at all. I don’t feel like something is nutritionally missing, it truly feels like I am someone is another place that is good, calming in a way, but needing of what? I tell ya FB it is super hard to describe it for me but nice thing is at least a few of us have it and I am glad I do get that chance to chat with someone who also feels it and understands.

Me thinks we have a zero carb mystery

Dr. Saladino mentioned the need for a PKD clinic type of thing over here and that would be so cool. Everything I’ve listened to or read, so far, from PM has been very professional and humble but in the end it is results that matter. I’m seeing good results and I’m gonna be trying pig brains soon so for now I’ll continue to PKD on, heh. Thank you for all the info that you bring to us @FrankoBear

Methinks it may have been salt?

I developed some heart palpitations again during the night and woke feeling tired and with some arrhythmia. This is that thing I get every so often on carnivore eating, and I associate it with oxalate dumping.

I have been salting my food at home (there was no salt on the table at the cafe) but not purposefully.

So, this morning I drank some salty bone broth along with my magnesium supplements and I feel much better. Heart has settled down.

#866

See this one I know can’t be for me at all. I am an over salter to the ultimate. There is never a day my body ain’t salted down and I know I never go into a low level LOL

Only time I get any type of heart palps is because I have PVCs and are controlled thru diet for me. Only if I go ‘into chemical/processed/that aspartame crap definitely nails me’ do I get any of that type of situation. Being on zero carb has given me freedom from heart palps due to my PVCs and they don’t ramp up anymore at all.

A lot of heart palps I know are also hydration related for me personally. I find overheating and dehydration put me into a heart palp situation (but for me all this is very low ya know. All this is more rare now being on zero. I have no other heart troubles and since I know my PVC situation is benign and living with it for years now I know what I am dealing with ya know.

Super glad you are feeling so much better~!!!

The cool weather is coming. You eastern staters get our weather second hand. A cold front went through on Thursday and it’s probably at about Adelaide now. I had to wear a long sleeve top today for the first time this summer.

Cocoa butter , also called theobroma oil, is a pure, stable fat that is pressed out of cacao beans. It has the flavor and aroma of cocoa and is considered a vegetable fat.

------this is a problem vs. your dairy actually LOL

dairy is animal kingdom food but this cocoa butter junk isn’t.

but of course as we ALL know dairy is very personal. One does ok on it or one has issues with it. I think it is a good idea for all to try the ‘dairy free’ zero carb eating cause if cheese etc is added back later one can definitely tell if it is an issue or not for them.

but animal kingdom is zero carb eating plan. a vegetable fat, yuk HAHA but I am sure ya’ll love it LOL

and I do remember you are allowing some options for sure and doing some experiments on you   so not coming after ya FB, just saying LOL

#873

food yesterday was

small cheeseburger patty
2 chicken breast

Back at work in the city today.

I’m cooking up some rolled omelettes for breakfast/lunch.

Starting the day with salty bone broth.

Yesterday was:

a sip of straight, non chemistry experiment, black coffee
2 hour surf featuring dolphins, a ball of salmon and leaping whaler sharks (feeding on the salmon)
Finished the coffee

Breakfast at 1pm
3 egg omelette cooked in butter
60g cheddar
80g smoked salmon

Early dinner on 3 hour drive to city
120g pork rillette
150g chicken breast pieces wrapped in swiss cheese slices approx 120g
long black coffee with cream
1/4 tsp pink salt
water

#875

full on zero carb eating day FB!

and dolphins, fish schools and whaler sharks in your day. OH SO COOL!

poor salmon, grrrrr carnivores eat salmon tho HAHA

#876

food yesterday was

1 lb. cheeseburger patty

1/2 lb. cheeseburger patty

HIP HIP…Down another 1/2 lb on the scale. All of these little drops are adding up decent now…keep on going!, 1/2 lb. drop here and there, take them all the time… LOL

I had every intention of eating my ribeye. I just wanted a monster cheeseburger so I made that. Then there was no way I could do a full on 1 lb. ribeye after…so when I got a bit hungry I just hit another burger. I am burger’d out right now.

My 1 lb. ribeye is in the fridge and WILL be my first cook of the day.

Zero carb eating is going wonderful.

Good morning, and it IS a good morning because my Kansas City Chiefs won the Superbowl last night.:heart::+1:

I saw this keto/carnivore item in an email and thought I’d share it here:

3-INGREDIENT KETO SCOTCH EGGS

INGREDIENTS
2 Pounds Ground Beef

2 Teaspoons Salt

12 Large Boiled Eggs

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line two small rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.
Combine beef and salt in a large bowl. Use your hands to mix the ingredients together and form into 12 meatballs. Place 6 meatballs on each of the lined baking sheets and press flat.
Place one boiled egg in the middle of each circle of meat and wrap the meat around the egg, leaving no gaps or holes.
Bake about 15 minutes, turn them over, and continue for another 10 minutes, until outside is golden brown. Place under the broiler to finish for 5 minutes for a crispy shell. Serve hot.

Jumping in late to the Carnivore Party!

I have been Carnivore 19 months and about 10 days ago I started PKD.

My Ketones took a fair few days to rise, and the highest K so far is 1.4.

PM recommends 400 g meat and fat per day. I have only been able to get down to just under 600 g. I ate my last bit of ground beef (70/30, 25% liver, 10% brain) then decided I was still hungry so ate 175 g brains. I LOVE brains fried in tallow.

I am rendering suet at the moment.

Love this thread.

I am blessed not to struggle with cravings. Over Christmas I had some dark chocolate which turned to something akin to concrete in my bowels. Other than a couple of handfuls of Kettle Chips between Xmas & NY, I stayed with meat only.

I am not eating dairy as recommended by PM.

I hope to resolve minor health concerns and my obstinate bowels with the PKD.

food yesterday was

1 lb. ribeye steak.

1/2 lb cheeseburger patty

7 link sausage

Mother in law not well again. Had to do 911 and ambulance. She is in hospital with severe sodium drop, maybe heart issues and just a bad situation for her. A lot of tests going to happen I believe. Still evaluating etc. A lot of drama around here with med issues, sad situation and we are praying all goes well for her.

zero carb eating is on point. just overwhelming stuff going down as our parents age with med situations.

God it’s just one if those days!! I’m so sorry about your Mother in Law Fangsy. Not again!!! :disappointed_relieved:.

There’s been some discussion somewhere about blood glucose levels. It was in relation to the Paleo Keto Diet, so it may have been in the PKD thread? @Ilana_Rose @ReneeRC

I heard Dr. Clemens set a low blood glucose limit at 2.5mmol/l (45 mg/dl) as long as the patient was in nutritional ketosis with enough blood ketones to protect against adverse effects. It may have been in the Dr.Saladino interview/podcast.

So far today I’ve had 2 cups of coffee at work. One with cream, the other unadulterated. Dairy free February, despite the ring to its title, is off to a wobbly start. Dairy addiction dawning.

Mug of salted bone broth at 8 am.

Lunch at 1pm
2 x omelette rolls fried in ghee with:
ground beef
15g Swiss Cheese
chicken liver pate
chicken breast
bacon strip in each

Found out a work mate is a vegetarian. She is very interested in what I eat. We discussed animal ethics and agree on animals living a life suited to their species. Death should be quick and painless.
