I am SO DAMN JEALOUS and I ain’t kidding here. That sounds heavenly to the max. I would be boogie boarding my heart out right next to you doing all that LOL

(Ellen ) #383

Thanks @Fangs. Gonna try again today. I’ve got tons of meat in the fridge.

#384

My heart was in my mouth as I took off on two of the waves. Like stepping off a second story balcony. Heart in mouth, is that a form of carnivore?

Ah yes, that may be it @Ely . Try to finish meal at least 3? hours before sleep. I ate my 16oz steak at about 6pm. But truth be told I was in bed asleep just after sunset at 8pm.

#385

omg a second story balcony. And I thought my boogie boarding was daring HAHA

I kayak the ocean. I love riding in the waves to the shore and back out and back in. I took some flips that I was sure I was gonna break my neck…but I always made it out alive  My Ocean Kayak was one of my best buys in my life. Love that thing. Bring it everywhere cause we ‘rv’ in our trailer and we hit water all the time. My kayak is just the best thing to put in the toyhauler and go. Water baby…life is all about water!

Heart in mouth might be carnivore…heehee….love it!!

Ahhhh, I so get it Cheryl. I am holding well but I am not being faced constantly with situations right now so that helps me a ton. Sadly most of my older family has died out now, my mom is 91 and those bigger family get togethers and all are over now. So while that is sad, I don’t have to face all those events and get togethers and more and it saves me.

And I understand they so want to accommodate you and they try hard to ‘make food’ for you and they don’t get it but how can one deal with that…it is very hard. I know.

I think you should just watch what is being eaten of course, just do your best thru it all as I know you will!! and jump onto tight carnivore after the holiday season. I mean this is a very hard time of year for anyone to make monster changes in eating…I mean heck it is a war on food out there right now LOL

No need to sighhhh, you got this. Your easier time to get thru it all will come and when it is over all quiets down. After New Years you can hear crickets in the festive food dept…everyone puts it away  and it will be your time to grab hold and do for you.

Hold strong!! You will be fine!!

(Cheryl) #387

Thanks!

(Daisy) #388

Sounds like everyone is doing great!

@CherylP I understand completely what you’re saying. This time of year is the hardest for me. I actually did really well at my two parties Thursday and Friday. Ate non-optimal carnivore (lots of cheeses and processed meats), along with seafood and steak. Both upset my stomach a bit.
Yesterday was BADDDDD. Like, REALLY bad. I tried to start my day with carnivore waffles, but it just didn’t work out very well. Got messed up in my waffle maker and was super frustrating. Went to watch a play and ate a box of popcorn. I eat popcorn sometimes and don’t let it guilt me, but it often leads to cravings. Like yesterday. That was the door to just eat horribly the rest of the day. I ate unsweetened chocolate after dinner (of shrimp and chicken legs) and then, even worse, a half of a pita piata. But, back to carnivore today. Nice big fatty ribeye for lunch and probably another one on the books for dinner lol

I have an egg urge today after a few days of beef. But they’ll have to wait until after I check the surf. Is that a form of saltwater fasting? It’s another glorious sunny day today. The past two days were 100’F+. It is predicted 97’F today, so I should be able to get some outdoor work done on my block instead of finding sanctuary in the cool ocean.

(Edith) #390

I had this problem with my first dive into carnivore. This time around I am sleeping much, much better. Unfortunately, I don’t know how much of this is diet and how much my 53 year old hormones.

(Ellen ) #391

@VirginiaEdie, thanks. Hope I can do carnivore. I’m drinking some Sleepy Time Tea right now to help but I’m guessing tea is not carnivore. Maybe dirty carnivore? Carbs are very low, less than 10 today.

#392

This is absolutely ok on carnivore. Only the ‘purist’ won’t touch coffee or tea…a regular old carnivore would drink it if they want and feel good doing it  you are doing great, ya ain’t even ‘dirty’ on this one LOL

(Ellen ) #393

Thanks Fangs. I stopped eating at 5pm. My eyes are getting heavy, ready for sleep. Fingers crossed!

#394

So my day without salt yesterday was kinda ok. I missed the heck out of it! Feel no difference this morning. Wouldn’t expect it just yet. Another no extra salt day and see how it goes.
The steak I didn’t miss as much cause the steak was delish…the chicken. blah. Missed my salt on that chicken

food yesterday was
10 oz ribeye steak
2 chicken breasts
tin of sardines

So far so good. Just cruising along.

(Edith) #395

I believe that even Amber O’Hearn drinks coffee.

(Ellen ) #396

@VirginiaEdie having coffee now. Slept okay. Lost 2lbs this morning (I weigh daily)…yay. I don’t trust it yet though. Yesterday I ate 3 oz cheddar, 6oz filet mignon, 8oz skirt steak and 3oz cream cheese. Going food shopping later for more steak. Feeling strong.

#397

being a pro at finding great meat and seafood sales might become an obsession in your future HAHA It is for me

CONGRATS on 2 down. All down is a great thing! Everything will improve for you longer on plan. Keep the faith!!

(Ellen ) #398

I’m so jealous of you carnivores @Fangs! You all seem so happy. Which is a great sign of health. Thanks for the support and allowing me to start this late in the game. I developed an aversion to ground beef starting keto. The body only wants these expensive cuts of beef, so yes, I will be searching for sales. The fish store is closed on Monday so will be buying some fish later in the week.

#399

Never a reason to be jealous cause this is a place you can easily come to and be just as darn happy as all of us living this lifestyle

All ya gotta do is want it LOL

It is a ‘hard way to come’ cause you have to be a meat/seafood eater to the max in that you want to eat this way. Many can’t and won’t ever do it but those that fall into this category are so darn happy eating this way cause it suits them…then the benefits of this way of eating hit home with your body and you find a balance you never knew existed. It is a great balance and one we absolutely love!!

I hear you on good eating. In that the thing that sets up with me best is I would rather any single day of the week buy myself the best meat and seafood I adore and thrive on then ever give that money to a doctor! heehee……yea I would rather treat me instead of handing out the bucks on having medical situations thru feeling crappy on my foods I eat.

So it is all about US…all about YOU…how do ya wanna roll thru life?

I always put me as a priority in life. When I am happy and smiling and feeling wonderful I can than give to others. I can participate in this world in a fine fashion vs. having only dr. appts to handle or feeling like a slug on a couch cause I just can’t move good or have brain fog and don’t want to be bothered. Now I can bother to give out my good energy!!

I have to say this way of life gives so much to others cause we can afford to give ourselves out there more to whatever causes/actions we deem important in our lives. Cause we have the energy, the gung ho of it all to be active in our lives.

I have to say when carnivore hits home with you…it is a very fine place to be. None of us carnivores who thrive on this plan would say any less!!

Ahh, fresh fish and seafood is a good ‘side item’ to a steak ya know!! HA

edited to say…I developed an aversion to ground beef starting keto.

but in the future that 1/2 to 1 lb. delish bacon cheeseburger will call your name and you will love it LOL I don’t do hamburger that often now either but when I want it…omg it is SO darn good! Makes you ever forget that crap fast food burgers and such you get out there in the world. Your own cooking is key on some good foods that we enjoy.

(Edith) #400

I’ve got two teenagers. I’m not that happy.

(Ellen ) #401

Lol…I remember. So funny. This too will pass @VirginiaEdie!
