I have seen a lot of similar recipes using dates, this one has nut butter, coconut and chia seeds.
The recipe says you can use sweetener, I usually don’t.
As a personal preference, I use about half of the cinnamon. I bought my cinnamon at a local Indian grocery store, it seems more potent than other cinnamons, that may be why I found the cinnamon overpowering.
I have made them with peanut butter and almond butter, yummy either way.
