Catering ideas

(Morgan Rose) #1

Having my bridal shower and actually have had several friends hop on the keto wagon for my wedding and actually requested keto options

I know this should be a no brainer but its gonna be catered.

Gonna be fairly large group. Any ideas? Thanks

What time of day is it? How formal?

A brunch shower would lend nicely to Keto foods that even the non-Keto folks would appreciate. A frittata for instance. Cream and berry cups if made properly. Of course bacon and Canadian bacon.

If later in the day, if go with salmon and a Keto friendly dill sauce or something similar. You could serve with asparagus. Just be sure to have real butter. It would be really nice to do in a mold with your new monogram in it. Or small individual rose pats of butter.

A whole roasted pig

Is it a full meal or just nibbles?

Bacon wrapped shrimp with a schmear of cream cheese.

smoked salmon wrapped around asparagus or avocado.

little sausage and egg muffins.

Ooh, sounds good.

We do that at every graduation. One we even dug a pit and cooked in the ground.

We should be friends

Oh, I have to tell a funny story. One of my coworkers was freaking out a little because she saw that our store was going to start carrying whole pigs. She thought the picture of the dead pig with the whole pig face was appalling.

I on the other hand thought it looked delicious.

Ok, maybe not a funny ha ha story. But her face when I was literally licking my lips was priceless. :pig2::plate_with_cutlery::yum:

I don’t wanna do any cooking. And my bridal party is… lets just say me and my fiance are throwing our own party!

We have about 75-100 ppl (wont know exact till theb23rd…we made it coed and sports themed bc thats us, hence why we are doing catering)

most of the classic wedding dishes aren’t that bad on carbs - prime rib, salmon, chicken. Is there any way to just give people a choice about their side dishes and offer more ‘safe’ veggies? If it’s a catering company, they’re probably not going to be too excited about a lot of unique keto recipes.

You’re having 75-100 people to a shower?

How many are you having at the actual wedding?

(Morgan Rose) #12

This is a judge free zone…hahhaa

(Morgan Rose) #13

Not wedding. The shower party

(Morgan Rose) #14

Its also coed

(karen) #15

So … will there be a buffet table with trays? Or sit down? Or just people circulating with yummies? I’m still not really envisioning this.

(LeeAnn Brooks) #16

Not judging. Well, not in a bad way. Just never heard of one so large.

Its coed and sports themed…its coed so men and women allowed. We didnt do gifts but a honeymoon theme…

We have 5 lsrge pizzas. 3 pans of wings. And 2 trays if sandwiches…

My fiance wants me to have keto options for me and thens everal friends asked if i would as well…

Not buffet style. well i guess? We will have tabled of food… but not based per person…

I know its different. But we are. We dont agree on any sports team and we talk shit daily lol…

Ill be fancy on my wedding say that is all lol

Cheese and Salami Platters, Bell Pepper Cucumber Platter, Olive Pickle Platter, Parmesan crisps and smoked salmon platter, Deviled eggs. Celery filled with cheese, Macadamia nuts or Keto assortment bowl.

I do a few BBQs for showers and weddings a year, you can feed a few hundred good food for cheap. May just be a southern thing though.
