I kept quoting you on this so decided to do it myself. Always the dark meat lover, I ate all that yesterday so today I fried some bacon and cooked some white meat in that fat, but gave most of that to hubby, put the rest of the cold chicken breast on my plate, so I had both for comparison and yuppers! The reheated chicken was dry and somewhat tasteless. I put a little baconnaise on the cold chicken and it was great. Tender and moist from the sous vide. Any revenge I need to serve, I’ll try to remember that for it too.
Wow, there is a LOT to catch up on! LOL! Just got off after 7 days straight at work. Completed a 48 hour fast early last week, and have gone hard core carnivore ever since. Feels amazing!
Need to keep up with you all now. I got 2 days off, so I’ll get to reading tomorrow morning. Missed you all. Hoping everyone is doing well, staying safe, and finding freedom in not having to monkey around with veggies and stuff. Meat is where it’s at!
Todays food for me today was a burger with meat patty, cheese, mayo, rib eye that was cut in half (both length wise and thickness ) and a strip of sausage .and a pmsf bun… so omad with 2 egg coffees…
I really don’t understand why your chicken is so dry when you re heat it. What are you doing to it lol. I find it more dry when it’s cold … breast of chicken that is. Ehrn I re heat it is is always so juicy that I am forever wiping the bit that runs down my chin …mind tat could be an age thing haha. I always pan fry it in butter or leftover fat and it really is just a flash in the pan just long enough for it to be hot. Always very tender and juicy x
That ribeye looks so good and it must be quite big … can’t guage the thickness from the photo though. Makes yesterdays sirloin look so puny! It was only120g (4.233 oz) ! My ribeyes that i sliced from the big sirloin joint were approx 6-8 oz and i thought they were big hahaha. Which reminds me I need to get a steak out the freezer for later
Oh. I never visited places where appetizers were a thing. WHY? It makes little sense to me, actually.
My appetizer (in the super rare cases when I need it) is broth Or any other soup but I never had a big variety regarding soups and it’s even “worse” on carnivore. it works nicely, triggers hunger(?) and even more importantly appetite. It’s a superb appetizer for me. Carbs would be such a poor, poor idea!
Ordered eating (I didn’t know it’s the name for it, thank you)… It’s the thing I always find shockingly weird. Well sometimes it sounds doable but usually it makes no sense to me. My food has everything in one, I can’t take it apart… And my tastes cause almost all my food having similar macros too, nowadays I stray from it though but it’s still not much wriggle room (and I need all of them every day anyway, I couldn’t just stop). And when someone eats meat with carbs, they surely do that because they like them together…
But sometimes I wonder about carbs placement myself. Okay, it’s best not to eat it, it’s just for serious compulsion, severe boredom of meat and possibly eggs too or fruit season in my garden… I should start with my normal food (don’t let the carbs ruin things in the very beginning… if it’s sweet, I can’t start with it anyway, well maybe a bit like a berry but that’s a snack without hunger. if I am hungry, I don’t want sweet stuff) and if I have multiple meals, I should keep the first carnivore. It’s one of my plans I mess up on off days BUT not always nowadays. I get better.
But I can’t finish with carbs, I must finish with fatty protein. This is new. I liked finishing my meals with some sweet dessert (it was a habit for decades, horrible… and then carnivore came and I didn’t miss it. for a while? but I can just have a coffee nowadays, that’s basically a dessert though not sweet) and now I simply can’t. It feels wrong. I need at least a bite of sausage afterwards. But it’s better to skip that can of worms that carbs and especially sweets mean, it’s my primary goal, I am just not as great at it on low-meat times.
Theoretically I can start with lower-fat protein on the rare days when I have that. But it’s almost no food and then I go back to my usual so it has not much use. And I feel a very strong urge to pair my (fried in lard) lean meat with something fatty… This 65% (or a bit more) fat urge is very very strong in me, I don’t know why. I probably had something similar in my high-carb times too, I just don’t have numbers from that time. I clearly could function with a different number, why am I feel this? It’s a great range for me though so it makes sense. If I keep it elsewhere, I will feel the nearly irresistible urge to balance it out.
It would be interesting to experiment with different ratios but I just can’t change it. I have very little control on my food intake. I can choose my items to some extent, I can do something with timing if my body cooperates and that’s it.
But I will try. I fancy leaner pork now (I ate too much shoulders), I just need to resist to cover it with bacon… But that’s too good, I totally will do it once again. I rarely eat bacon, it will be fine.
Calcium… Well my water has a ton of it (so inconvenient ). It peels off from the pot I use to boil water very quickly and if I just let a glass to dry, it looks horrible. Oh it could be worse, I lived at a place with water that contained a lot of calcium AND iron. Cleaning the (very red) shower after some negligent times wasn’t fun.
I am often not on the Bristol scale but it’s very normal and I found it elsewhere. But I know I am healthy anyway.
What does it mean?
I am just curious as I only eat fatty protein anyway so I always start, continue and finish with fatty protein, it seems to be fine for me…
MAYBE fat first cause huge satiation? Thinking back on my fat and egg fasts… But that’s no good as I undereat protein (the only time when I do that) and get nauseous… I wouldn’t do that even for fat-loss (and I couldn’t lose much per fat fast anyway. definitely below 1 lbs. bad deal).
I though I can raise fat if it’s in my meat but it turned out nope, that fat isn’t satiating for me, I need my high protein. Maybe I can get away with a bit less if I eat once a day…? But probably it’s not significant. And I need nutrients from my protein too so adding more fat wouldn’t be good anyway…?
Poor, poor, poor souls. We have tons of “too fatty for me” meat here. But we have every level from 0 to 100% fat tissue (pork, yep, it’s a pork and chicken eating country). And they don’t trim fat from beef either, of course. But it doesn’t even have much…? And I rarely see beef so I just shut up. (I am curious about picanha but I am not sure I saw that ever. Meat counters usually have just a few cuts. I only could get brisket from the beef farm and even they rarely include it in the list for some reason.)
That lamb is actually too fatty for me I would roast it and it would get rendered out (it happened with lamb not even looking like this. it looked normal. and then I got a ton of fat…).
But it’s a luxury rare meat
I am into marbled pork chuck, that’s my thing Some thicker fat layer is always welcome but not too much…
Sometimes I wonder about buying the… bacon, actually but the slab, not the sliced thing in small packages that is called bacon here. We call the slab something else.
I want to roast it over open fire as it’s very very traditional but it’s way too fatty for us. Maybe I can cut off the fattiest parts and use it in some dishes where it’s okay. But I can’t afford that amount of fat. Maybe I should render most of the fat out… As if I just use it in my scrambled eggs, it takes way more fat than using lard normally. I like fried fat tissue pieces though
Oh I can just use fattier protein then - but that is less satiating so I eat more calories and that’s not necessarily good for me
But I can’t eat too much protein. I just gets satiated or crave fat like crazy. I usually stop a bit after 200g on my higher-cal days and it’s more like 120-180g normally and that’s really not so much, merely more than my theoretical need. But I gets hungry until I reach this, usually and my body clearly knows what it is doing so I don’t complain. I love protein anyway.
But I never could eat lean so IDK what would happen there (I would crave the fattiest items I suppose, what else?).
How much protein do you eat? Do you feel it’s too much? Because I don’t think high protein is necessarily bad. And it’s the best if we just don’t have any other options…
Oh I have just read more fat feels better for you… Yep, find these little extras. Fat is dense and nice, a little here or there can make a big difference I think. I use yolks myself sometimes (Alvaro likes a carni dish with 8 whites so I can have more if I want) and I can choose between egg dishes with added fat, even with extra yolks, pure eggs without added fat - and now I have egg white heavy sponge cakes, it’s often good to lower my fat intake not like my chances are good But I eat the yolks anyway so I am pretty balanced in average.
Well if you don’t eat eggs often, it doesn’t do much…
I love these carnivore threads. Experiences, deep thoughts, humour and so much more. You, among others, are a delight And my humour sense is too ticklish, I am a lucky hedonist regarding that I have fun so often
And it’s great you are better, I can’t even imagine having such problems. I only remember a few rare occasions, it wasn’t even particularly bad and it annoyed me a lot… As I am used to near perfection and I have enough or rather too much life problems. I need my health and stable body functions.
Never had the former, had the problematic latter thing. Very rarely. Not like the Unsatiable Hunger I have sometimes is better…
I handle no joy from food for a little while but if it’s long, even hunger is badly missed let alone joy. So many things are important at meals, most of us can’t just consider it fuel all the time.
I think I wrote more than enough but there were so interesting topics. So I am back (as strict carnivore as I can but I have too little meat now to avoid dairy at the moment)! It’s an eggy day, I had 6 eggs and little other stuff for lunch, I fry the tiny leftover beef for dinner, finish my quark (it spoils if I wait any more I fear), probably eat more eggs, I actually planned zillion but the sausage and cheese helps. My lunch was quite small but full satiation eventually arrived.
Spring is here but most of my flowers will be in full bloom tomorrow so no photos yet. The weather gets so warm we stop heating at night. They say 20C and more! Wow. It’s as hot as I can handle when I am not used to warm weather yet. I should have run more in winter, 20C might be way too hot for it. Well I still only run for some seconds, it should be fine… 20C is still okay-ish for walks. I just shouldn’t forget to wear summer clothes (short sleeved thin t-shirt, long trousers and boots the terrain pretty much requires boots. and I like boots).
My apricot tree is almost in bloom and half-full with dried branches. Maybe it won’t live much longer. It’s such a chore to burn all the wood this tiny garden produces (and we still have a lot from the rebuilding of our house) and we have a huge amount of thorny stuff too (mostly blackberry, it grows like crazy). We should do a stew again The smallish beef stew was made inside (and it had WAY too much beetroot if you ask me. even Alvaro thought so in the end. I couldn’t help eating more meat than the ratio demanded - and I love beetroot despite the very high level sweetness… still unnecessary in my stew but it was our only meat now so I was off carni anyway - and actually, even more would have been better… but we had to use up all the beetroots, they started to mold and we had only a little brisket for this dish - I need the majority for a proper carni dish - and I had to cut off a part for myself for today, it’s already very very tiny).
I have no supplements just my pink Himalayan salt and white sea salt with iodine Iodine is a problem here, the water has little so salt with iodine is pretty common here. No idea about other countries. But they belong to my food. And I have my magnesium pills (10, it should be enough for 2022) but I just don’t feel the need lately. Maybe it will be needed soon as I combine ketosis with low-meat again and that never worked well, maybe my meatier past helps, I have no idea. I buy pork asap but not tomorrow yet. I will eat beef heart and fish in the next 1-2 days as meat and my sausage of course. But these aren’t much. I just can’t eat much using such items. I don’t miss meat as I basically never do and I love eggs at this point. So I only borderline worry about my magnesium but I have my pills so not even that, really.
OMG that pic with the optiona fat to protein ratio article looks so, so, so nice… It’s good I don’t mikss meat, I would feel a tad miserable now And would go to the town instead of making 4 cheese not-pizzas tomorrow (the gorgonzola can’t last forever)… If I cook fresh lunch, I can’t go to the town and come back with Alvaro. And pizza must be fresh even if it’s just my not-pizza.
We run out of fun cheeses soon, I already only have sweetened whipped cream so that’s for Alvaro… My dairy consumption will drop again and it’s good, I get bored of a too high amount even if it’s not really high as I can’t handle that even for a single day.
That’s important indeed (and unnecessarily for me. NO WAY I go below 2g/kg (LBM) with protein in average. if I track, I use the info to see if I will get hungry later so I better eat more during the day)! What do you consider minimum? I never thought much about it as I tend to eat 2-4g/kg and that’s enough… I probably would go for 2 and if it’s very hard, 1.5 at the very least.
I should track one of Alvaro’s days… He never ate as much protein as me and he is higher, has more muscles and higher activity… But I suspect he is fine now that he eats way more meat than before. My food choices always had an effect on his. He has his fixed points but he follows me if they aren’t affected.
But it’s not a very big change as it seems he feels the nudge to eat protein with his food too. Even if his carbs are already protein rich. So he is probably fine, his muscles are definitely still there… But he does his pitiful effort at lifting too now (he does the exercises right but skips several muscle groups. he does chest presses as I can’t do them without help - I can’t put down my bar - so he is there and is bored maybe one day he will properly train his arms too, who knows? his biceps(es) are as tiny as mine. mine got improved but just a little so still so, so tiny).
I wonder if I ever will read back, surely not if I can’t keep myself from reacting… I try to behave as always. I guess after all the skipped time and on a lazy day I just couldn’t resist.
@Karen18: Beautiful photo of beautiful meat… I better go and fry my tiny beef…
Big is 30oz But maybe it’s just my means business at OMAD with overeating past thinking. Still, anything below 20oz can’t be a really, really decent amount of meat in my eyes.
My tiny, tiny, pitiful, just a morsel to taste beef is almost 120oz if I remember correctly. Super tiny even raw and I will fry it Almost no calories but still something along with my other food.
(I wanted to be short. I even hoped it will happen. I wasn’t, obviously. But I will do life from now on, today was my writing-a-lot day even from me.)
The optimal fat to protein ratio article was a nice read! And I couldn’t NOT be in the 0.8-4.4g/kg protein range if I wanted I so love when people don’t use some super fixed stuff not right for a lot of people. And recommended needs are often quite closed-minded. People who only considers their own way the right way are like that too.
I really can agree with stuff in it, I would just add that there is an individual factor (but it was there actually when saying we should listen to our body). I eat organ meat regularly (it’s cheap, different, easy to get and I even like it! lucky I just can’t eat much of it but it’s fine), have little muscle mass, I am only minimally active from my viewpoint, feel healthy… But I just can’t stay below 2g/kg for LBM (or my total weight if I ever manage to slim down, I am sure). I badly miss protein and gets hungry there. It must be my individual factor.
Well my brisket wasn’t below 120g, it was 195g, nevermind, still tiny. And more like 155g as it had the chewiest bites I gave to the cats. It was so nice! Chewy, most definitely but just normally and I enjoyed it now. It was better than Alvaro’s fancier, carbier dish…
I am full now (had my dinner when already satiated. the photos didn’t make me actually hungry, it seems but I didn’t say no to the fried meat and I knew I needed more food if I want to avoid night eating), guesstimation is 1550 kcal, very low protein (from me especially on TMAD), bad combo but maybe I can pull it off this time? 87g protein or something so 74% fat. It happens sometimes when I eat little and then fill the rest with cream (I finished the quark but the cream was much more)… And brisket isn’t lean…
I overthink this again but I like numbers for some reason.
On tomorrow’s menu will be a small 4 cheese not-pizza (you can call mine an omelet, it will be right :D), beef heart and sponge cake with sausage slices. And probably the usual scrambled and pickled eggs. And the next day I go shopping as I don’t want the fish route again, I had fish last week. And it was AGES ago I had my darling pork roast, it is more than welcome now.
The town has 2 butchers (next to each other… well it’s a small town, 5000 people and most food stores are at the same place, 2 butchers, 2 supermarkets and 2 greengrocers. and the egg lady lives nearby and the post office is close too so it’s great) and we never visited the one with great sales!
Actually, bigger towns like to have all the very popular supermarkets at one place too… The cities can’t pull it off but even they have multiple ones next to each other. And the closest big town (if we don’t cross the shooting area… we usually don’t. once we were brave but the road was bad and shooting happens way too frequently) has 2 in the centrum and 2 at the edge. As there are great sales and different items in different ones, we like to visit multiple ones so it’s great to have them at one place. I still dislike our big shopping where we spend most of Alvaro’s salary and overstimulate my head and stuff… I actually need to rest after a big shopping trip, it tires me out. But having food is nice. Seeing our maybe 160-170cm high fridge being too tiny for us isn’t… Next time we will buy the highest one door one with a big freezer and a huge (there are some with 3 times as big one!) vegetable rack or what is that. I keep bacon and 4 long dry sausages in it now. It has a less easy access (especially that its handle is broken… I glued it and it worked until Alvaro forgot and grabbed it there) and I don’t see the stuff inside and I totally forget so I put the ones with a far expiration date there. Like end of May for the sausages. The bacon is early April so I am getting ready to use it up. I need some leaner pork I am even willing to try pork chop, maybe it will be edible even for me covered with bacon… (Okay, it is edible anyway, I just don’t like it much as it’s too dry. But works in a pinch. In moderation or ground up and mixed with eggs and fried.)
I miss soup too, maybe I can get some duck necks again… Though I think I prefer pork soups now. Duck neck is still nice and different.
For me if I eat lean protein it doesn’t hold me and I don’t like eating 6 meals a day it’s spiking insulin each time I much prefer eating one of two meals…
Where as fat and meat fills me up…
I totally would love those fatty lamb chops I love the taste of grilled juicy crispy fat…
Funny sleep … I dreamt a lot and it was all clean and jerks what’s that all about ??? Got up this morning and did stair runs and then waited for my tel appt with the Occupational Health consultant physician for the first stage of ill health retirement. It seemed to go okay and the consultant was really nice … mind you we will see what she puts in her report! Had brunch afterwards as I was too anxious to eat prior and guessed if i cooked something the consultant would be bound to call when I was eating.
S9 brunch was cooked sliced chicken tikka re heated in leftover pan fat and it was nice and tasy.
Looks a fair bit but again just a side plate full and I couldn’t eat it all. I felt full and was getting past that feeling of this is okay and thinking yuk I’ve had enough!
and chucked this much away as I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat it later. Not often food goes in the bin these days!
Went for a 3 mile walk with my daughter around the nature reserve and had a great tit eating meal worms out of my hand i was absolutely made up. I took meal worms with us and they love them.
Got home and sat outside with a brew listening to the birds singing. It was so relaxing.
Dinner was 2 pork chops and 4 rashers of streaky bacon. Note to self ~ remember to pop to the butchers tomorrow for some decent bacon.
@Shinita your writing is fun to read I miss you when you’re not here.
Your diet reminds me of one by Dr. Kwasniewski called the Homo Optimal diet. He used mostly fat, some protein and a tiny amount of carbs (1 part protein, 3.5 parts fat, to 0.5 parts carbs) and cured lots of people in Polish military hospitals starting in the 70s. I printed his website at one point, which isn’t available now. He considered fatty pork to be the perfect food for humans. I knew a woman who was given weeks to live and turned herself around using his diet.
I’m off all supplements and meds now except vitamin D. Thanks @Fangs. Doesn’t seem to make any difference in night cramps in my feet and they’re so mild, a few steps out of bed and they’re gone.
@Karen18 The fat first idea is interesting but why would that be? All the food gets mixed up in your stomach anyway. I used to follow food combination charts but then read an article saying, don’t you think your body is smarter than that? Lol. Could be true I guess.
@Karen18 I don’t know why the chicken breast was drier after cooking! It was actually cooked with bacon, maybe I left it in too long. White meat cooked in sous vide is like a different meat anyway and so moist and tender compared to baked or rotisserie chicken. Even cold
Today I cut the chuck roast (sous vide 24 hrs and into the fridge lastnight) into steaks and pan fried them in tallow. I used the juices with ghee and 4 yolks and salt to make a lovely gravy; and fried some jumbo shrimp in bacon fat left from yesterday. A nice meal!
My sciatica/arthritis is back today after quite a while without it. I haven’t taken anything, just letting it go away on its own. In cleansing diets sometimes you can hit layers of toxins that will surface as you eliminate… I’m assuming that’s what this is. It’s not like I have a strenuous life, I can just rest more til it resolves.
Hahah I wasn’t the one who brought up eating fat first lol however i do like the fat. I am guessing it would be that if one gets full before finishing the meal it is better to have eaten the fat and just left a bit of the protein. ?? Maybe also te fat makes one fuller too??
I don’t know what does that mean. What is parts? I eat about as much fat as protein (in grams), it depends, I like to have a bit more fat but I had 2:1, 1:2, I just prefer my 65-70% fat as my preferred dishes are there. Carbs should be very little.
I don’t know how good fatty pork is, actually… It probably depends on the pork and the person. I simply have no other options, I love pork best and it seems to be fine (I need to stick to it longer and I will see but even now, even with my off times, it is promising).
@Azi: Thanks. Too bad I can’t really experiment but MAYBE I can a bit. I have a few leaner and fattier items… I remembered the stuff where we just eat something first and eat less of the other, different thing. I need to eat everything I planned and possibly more… So if I would eat lean first, that would be 2 bites (and that wouldn’t be lean, just leaner). I can’t eat fat so I must start with protein but it can be a tad fattier than usual. IDK if that little difference matters… And I never finish with lean stuff, I like to finish with tasty things and tasty lean is tricky but I have some limited ideas… So I always start with my lean fish when I have fish AND eggs. IDK how lean is that but leaner than my normal food. So is it better to start with something fattier? But it seems to work either way, I just need the right macros and items, maybe it’s not completely true…?
If I can, I will experiment a tad. But I tend to eat my very fatty stuff in the end (not only there but that’s a common place for it). Dry sausage and sour cream sounds good in the end. Cream too because of my coffee - that I hid and plan not to touch for long.
But my main rule is eggs first and it sounds my only good option. I can eat eggs when hungry but eggs after meat (and eggs) is more boring than meat after eggs. I love my eggs but I have a limit and when I reach that, some meat is still lovely.
Eggs are fatty though especially in certain ways. Of course I totally start with egg white heavy boiled eggs as they are only nice in the hungry beginning… But I way more often start with fattier scrambled eggs. Possibly with sour cream on top. So that is better…?
Or it matters little if I eat much protein and much fat for my single bigger meal anyway?
Maybe I will experiment later. I prefer to just chill and eat whatever I fancy, in the order I fancy…
I think it matters the most by far what I eat BUT the order may matter somewhat. And the number of meals surely do, it’s very very important in my case.
I am pretty sure carb last would be a horrible idea for me as they make me hungry (it doesn’t matter much how much fat and protein I ate previously). Maybe protein has a way tinier but somewhat similar effect or something? I always considered protein the stuff that makes me satiated as it seems so but it’s not that very simple, even I noticed that. Very fatty things (almost pure fat) have some insane satiation effects while with more protein it’s not like that. I noticed this anomaly on fat and egg fasts.
But I stop wondering. I do experiments or not, that’s it. I just don’t know. But I can imagine the order matters something. As I experienced it matters sometimes. I just never saw it with protein vs fat but I typically eat them together and in big amounts so maybe that’s why.
Nope. Not for me. Well it depends, actually. How lean is the food, how many how big meals we have…
I go for OMAD now and I keep added fat very low and don’t have very fatty meats either (or I eat very little of them). I NEED my protein so I must ensure that I get it even if I get satiated early (always has some chance on carnivore-ish especially on OMAD). I go for minimal fat anyway as it doesn’t satiate me as well as protein. And I tend to eat too fatty, maybe not anymore.
But if I have hungrier times, things change. It’s so hard sometimes… But OMAD helps. I hardly can overeat fat or protein on OMAD. I can undereat protein and calories though, occasionally. But one day is fine… And if I have two, I just go for TMAD and try not to make it 3-6 meals but if I must, so be it…
I keep getting carried away.
It’s surely different for people who find fat really satiating and don’t seem to need high-protein… And me who really needs much protein and fat is obviously needed too but in minimal amount (i.e. as little as I can eat. it’s not really little and sometimes it’s extremely much but it’s the least amount I can do by my own will. maybe it’s not so understandable, sorry, I am me and vaguely understand myself).
And what if I don’t do OMAD? How should I approach things? And if I eat lunch and have no idea if I will have another meal? Oh that’s fine, my first meal usually is big enough to have enough protein for the day… I can imagine someone may start with a very fatty first meal as best option… It sounds a very bad idea to me for reasons though.
I stop now and will be scarce for a while. Or bring flower photos and not much else.
Large rib eye attempted last night. 1kg/ 2.2lbs in weight. Found that half of it, 1lb of beef, was enough. I see that many other carnivores seem to get satiety at about 1lb of beef. I had baked it with 2 rashers of middle bacon, so I get a resultant buttery lard tallow in which to cook my breakfast eggs. Even on the steak I select the fattier parts to eat first.
Interestingly after a large beef meal my morning blood glucose is 7.0mmol/l with a trace of ketones at 0.1mmol/l.
that is a beauty ribeye pic and wow FB, 2.2 lbs is a monster!
Mine was 1.38 lbs. Ate it all. Made me very happy!
Today is simple food again.
Got a smaller ribeye steak, thinner cut. Will be about 8 oz. Will have that with a side of bacon. Dinner is 12 chicken wings. Had to defrost this pack in bottom of freezer, rather eat it then let them sit too long. So beef and chicken will suit me fine today!
Just saying in general to all, the simplicity of this eating lifestyle is so important to me. I am not a kitchen cook person at all! So this easy peasy, slap a steak on a pan, fry up some bacon, done is such a life changer for me! Then slap a big ol’ pan of wings in an oven and just wait…ok I can simply do the above HAHA
I love having time for life, vs. even giving a thought about the kitchen. I know there are foodie chef types out there that love the kitchen and recipes and making ‘lc subs’ for foods and all, more power to them on loving that but for me, omg no kitchen and no time spent there so improves my life to an ultimate wonderful state of being!
and yes having to feed carby hubby and ‘lc type’ kiddo believe me is now easier than ya think, I have a new routine over the years of streamlining their foods too…I have to say, my kitchen life is SO improved to suit me it is just friggin’ wonderful and with kiddo doing college in 1.5 yrs, omg I SO LOOK forward to that part being gone and her off and becoming a thriving adult, but ME out of the kichen duty on that one LOL
hubby, eh, mostly he has to fend on his own but he is kinda ‘a foodie chef type’ so he doesn’t mind that…cool…works for me.
eh, just thoughts on how life changes around food as life moves on for all of us.
