My hubby and I talk about this all the time! My son is 21 and my daughter is 15. They are required to make their own meals. I will shop for the ingredients, but they have to prepare them. Sometimes it makes me feel like a lazy parent, but they need to learn life skills, right ?
We can’t wait until there is only meat in the house. Hubby is carnivore, but still struggles. All of my cravings are gone, so I don’t have an issue, but it will be nice to not open a cupboard and see unhealthy food.
Carnivore life is going well. I have really settled into eating mostly beef and eggs. Occasionally I’ll have a small pork medallion or some tuna. For the most part, I have given up my decaf coffee w/ ghee. It was a daily habit, that no longer interested me.
@Septimius I have been doing my own modified version of the exercise program that you shared with me. I do that 3 days a week and spend 30 minutes on my Schwinn Airdyne 3 days a week, with Friday being my rest day. I think I’m getting stronger?
@karen18 I thought about what you said that I may be overeating (in realtion to my amount of exercise), so I’ve resorted to tracking everything and have found that I can be fully satiated on 2000-2200 calories per day as opposed to my previous 2400-2800. I know that carnivore isn’t about CICO, but I found my clothes getting tighter and the scale creeping up, so I had to make a change. I have also finally got my complete sense of taste back after my bout with COVID (woohoo!) , so I am no longer relying on salt and processed foods to make meals palatable. The scale has gone down about 4 pounds, so I’ll take it, even though I know a lot of that was inflammation.
I don’t post often, but visit the forum daily, so thank you for everyone who takes the time to post. It is great to hear how everyone is doing!
