Butter on

Might seem like a silly question but as long as I just joined this group I figured I’d ask since it’s something I’ve wondered…

I know butter is ok to eat… So aside from cooking with it… Is there anything you like to like, put butter ON in the way you would put in on a piece of toast in the old days?

I’ve not yet come across something I don’t like to put butter on. I wish I was joking!

Seriously though, I love adding it to salads. I love taking some fine sliced meats and rolling them around a piece of butter. I add it to so many things because it makes them taste 10x better than they already do. An equivalent of adding butter to bread? Maybe the few times (a bit much maybe) I’ve dipped pork rinds into slightly melted butter?

Rolled up in meats huh… Guess I’ll have to try that… And honestly I don’t think I’ve ever had a pork rind before haha

On very fresh radishes - finished with a pinch of salt.

I put salt on my butter. …does that help? … then eat it by the slice especially when I’m cooking…

I’ve had cold butter spread on cold pre cooked meat when needing a calorie hit! It’s an acquired taste, but hits the spot.

I sear my steak, dip in butter and grill it. Yummy.

Buttered bacon snack :yum:

Also put it in coffee and this morning, chia tea.

I put a tablesppon on my 1/8 cup of cooked veggies each day. For cooking I prefer bacon, chicken, pork or beef fat. Coconut oil on fish occassionally.

I find I enjoy the butter firm as opposed to melted (like on that dark chocolate!)

haha as someone only a little over a month into this some of these just seem so bizarre but i’m sure they’re awesome.

honestly i was never much of a condiment guy anyway so on meat just doesn’t sound appealing (except melted on steak of course!), and cheese is cheese so i just want it to be cheese, but some of the other suggestions like pecans, radishes, vegetables and maybe even pork rinds sound like interesting options. something i can either smear it on or dip it in but that isn’t already such a full flavored food on its own you know.
