Brownie recipe

(Cynthia Anderson) #1

A while back I made some brownies for a diabetic friend.

I remember they had almond flour splenda and cocoa.
It did not use xatham gum
I think it had eggs.

I also think those were the only four ingredients.

Does anybody have a recipe for brownies resembling this.

They were very good. I’ve searched the internet and can’t find the recipe again.

kinda close
Just don’t use the Lily’s
And use ur Splenda instead of erithytol?

Thank you

Why not?

OP was looking for something simple
So, I was shooting for that
Saving an additional purchase

Lily’s is Fine of course!
Yup
It will add 10 net carbs too
Some added sugar alcohols

So w the 12 brownies , a little less than the 1 added NC per brownie

To each their own🤣

Oh I see, got it, thanks for clarifying

Why not use erythritol or Lily’s chocolate? Splenda has more carbs unless you do the liquid form.

Splenda has very little carbs and it’s what I have and like.

Attempt 1 didn’t go so well. I’ll try again tomorrow.

This (keto mama) is the recipe I use too. I halve/half everything and don’t use the chocolate chips (because I don’t have any) but it doesn’t need them anyway.

Sure…Give it at try😄

For me, I personally would not use lilys like @Clcrisler
I would also try to get away w no sweetener or stevia on the 1st batch
Then just top w a tab of butter!

Awesome WOE!
One can modify just about any KETO recipe to their liking
And for me, still be fat adapted either way🤣

Any other recipes. I don’t like this one.

I made this one he other day. I cut the butter to about 6 Tbs, and upped sweetner to a cup (ground up the erythritol in my coffee grinder) and melted the butter together with the cocoa, erythritol and vanilla in the microwave (slowly) rather than in a double boiler. It was quite easy and quick. Watch for the last couple minutes so they dont overbake. I divided into 8 muffin-size portions. They keep really well, and I like to warm them for about 15 secs and top with whipped cream =) Carb count I get when adding everything up and dividing by 8 is 2.2

Thanks for the link. I very rarely crave sweets anymore, but once in a while…

Just popped a pan in the oven- added unsweetened coconut and chopped mac nuts (I like to be extra whenever possible).

I’ll chime in later with my assessment!
