Well, I started keto and did well the first week but then broke my leg. It has been 5 weeks since I started keto and have lost weight. The healing of my fibula is going well. My concern is, reading lots of articles stresses eating lots of protein and dairy to aid in the healing of the bone. I do eat protein but not a lot of dairy. Anyone have broken bone experience while being on keto?

Ouchie.
Obviously the dairy is recommended for calcium although it also has Vit D and K2 which are important for bone remodeling. Alternatives would be bone in fish e.g. tinned sardines, bone meal etc or in this case a supplement (get one with K2 and D preferably) might be justified
