Breaking my fast wish me luck

#1

Day 22 and I am about to drink some meat broth to break my fast. I’ve taken some electrolytes, acv, and my digestive enzymes with betaine and hcl. Hoping I feel okay and my ai symptoms do not return.

The longest I have ever done is 5 days but I find what helps is to have some psyllium fiber before I break my fast a couple of times. Otherwise I find everything goes right through me. However I have never done anything as long as yours

Is it normal to feel crummy upon breaking a fast? I had a cup of bone broth this morning that stayed down so an hour later I had 4 olives and a second cup of broth. About an hour later I was in the bathroom and I can assume my digestive tract is clear. I’ve felt bad the rest of the day, my stomach doesn’t feel great, I was kind of shaky on and off all day. Attempting some more bone broth with sauerkraut juice now. Is this typical?

I generally feel a little “off” even after breaking a 72ish hour fast. You have to remember it’s a HUGE shock to fire the entire digestive system up after being dormant for so long.

I’m keeping a minimal amount of calories in my coffee each day, and a few avocados along the way as my countermeasure towards shocking the digestive tract. So far all good with no surprises.

Do you do this while fasting?

#7

Yes I did, the avocados worked to clean the pipes during the fasting.

Well that’s not really fasting then. You won’t get any of the benefits (aside from possible weight loss) that fasting offers. Every time you eat you “reset” your fast. Also long term you could really jack up your metabolism due to calorie restriction. When you fast, fast. When you eat, feast.
