1 lb breakfast sausage
8 ounces cream cheese
1-1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp instant espresso
1/4 salt
1.5 to 3 tsp ground pepper (to taste)
1/2 to 1 tsp guar gum (optional)
- Brown sausage
- Melt cream cheese in sausage
- Add cream and seasoning, cook on low until thickened
- If gravy doesn’t thicken to desired consistency, mix 1 tsp guar gum in 1/4 cup water to thicken, mix in some gravy to heat, and then blend in the gravy. 5. Serve over cheddar biscuits.
Cheddar Biscuits
Preparation Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Yield 8 biscuits
1/3 cup coconut flour
1/2 tsp xanthan gum
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup butter melted
4 eggs
1/4 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 to 1 cup shredded cheddar (to taste)
Mix coconut flour, xanthan gum, and baking powder. Mix eggs, butter, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix flour into liquids, mix until no lumps. Fold in cheese.
Drop batter onto parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes. Serve warm or cold. Store in refrigerator.
