Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger

(Adam ) #1

So I started with a good 80/20 hamburger in a bowl and added my seasonings and mixed well. I like it a little bigger so 1 lb will make 2.

Then I take an avocado and cut in half peeled and depitted
Then I stuff the pit cavity with cheese of your choice this one I put a garlic cream cheese but I’ve used other cheeses and all are good

Now put the two halfs back together and rap the whole thing in hamburger about half a pound. I wanted to have a little spice so I put some diced jalapenos also will go good with the cream cheese.
Last wrap the whole thing in bacon. Toothpicks would be good idea to help hold the bacon I didn’t have any and so had to make do. Now all that’s left it to put it on the BBQ or in the smoker I have a Trager and I set it to 350 and cook to desired temperature

now enjoy it’s also not a bad thing to bast it while it’s cooking with a little barbecue sauce I didn’t do it this time and kind of regret it but it was still good

Spectacular!!! Kind of like a Keto Cadbury’s Egg lolol.

Probably good for baking in winter too…

I have never baked one but I agree it would probly be good because I’m just basically baking it in my barbecue. I just get a little bit of smoke flavor as well from it

Looks good!
Scottish Egg-ish sorta.
With no egg😂
Humm…Then again, add an egg as well next time😍

I add an egg in the hamburger to help hold it all together does that count lol

I had forgotten about this. Some time ago, on this site, was a recipe for an avocado, hollowed and filled with an egg. Wrapped as you did and baked! I must try it again, maybe with mozarella balls.
