I just started keto and I ate 900 calories for breakfast on accident with 96% fat intake. Is that too much fat? I accidentally ate 193 grams of fat
Ate too much fat?
A lot of people get hung up on the numbers. The more important numbers are the carbs, fewer than 20g daily, then protein, 1g per kg of lean body mass. Fat should be consumed to satiety. That means, after you have calculated your carbs and protein for any given meal, add fat until you feel full. This takes some experimenting. It’s not the same for everyone. Don’t be concerned with the calories.
Eating fat is how you will convert your fuel source from glucose to ketones. Don’t be worried about the fat. Focus on limiting your carbs and eating the proper amount of protein. Eat fat. Fat is healthy.
I hope you find this helpful
Keep calm and keto on
1 g of fat is 9 calories. 193 g of fat is 1,737 calories. Something is wrong in your math.
Maybe you ate 100 g of fat?
Did you feel queasy?
Sometimes it takes a while for our bodies to adjust to increased fat intake.
It can be offputting to go from 0-60 miles an hour (as it were), in which case, shifting up gently through the gears can be kinder on the body.
For me, it only took a week or two, and by that time low fat food felt tasteless and unsatisfying.
Something doesn’t add.
193x9 = 1,737 calories.
Wah… How? 96%? It is basically like you simply eat fat. O_O please teach the method. I mean it, seriously. I am honestly interested.
As in, even the fat part of meat has lower percentage of fat than that, so I am wondering if you simply eat oil.(like butter, olive oil)
What a happy accident👍 I wouldn’t worry about it. As long as you don’t poison the system with carbs, your body will let you know when you need to eat again 193 gym of fat will stay with you a long time - many many hours
I routinely have 2 x 6 ozs of heavy cream in 2 creamy cappuccinos. That’s 1200 pure fat calories. Can’t conceive of eating lunch after that. Now I have to push that to midday so I can reduce my eating window
I had a binge eating problem in the past and I’m basically able to eat anything in sight even if it’s not good so I was able to eat a lot of coconut oil:/
