I am doing dry January after a rather boozy Christmas season. As a sugar addict I have found relief in keto but I am worried about the possibility of moving my addictive tendencies to alcohol, so I’m going to knock it on the head for a while.
Overall goals for 2019 are to keep losing weight and getting healthier by ketoing on and increasing the amount I exercise.
Anyone have any New Year's Resolutions re Keto?
I’ll definitely have to check that out! That’s cheaper than leggings these days
I think they were marked down to $15 and then scanned at $3, or something. These details are a bit of a blur
I’m gonna need you to pay more attention to life changing moments like $3 jeans at target
I simply resolve to continue on the good that 2018 has given to me — self confidence and a knowledge that I can control what I eat.
Good question… I love everyones answers
Mine are:
Reduce cheese to 2 ounces every 2 weeks. It is not realistic to say never again yet, lol.
Stop smoking.
Begin low impact core strengthening
Highlight the bit you want to reply to, then a box will pop up next to it that says “quote.” Click that, and you’re away.
You can do this to multiple posts to wrap them into the one reply.
This one will sound a bit stupid, but my goal is to exercise less. I’ve escalated to 3-4 hours a day with next to no rest and I’m clearly addicted (getting withdrawals). So, shorter sessions, more rest, more stretching and continue to eat well
I’d say you’ve been paying attention. I’ll be curious how your experience goes.
Have a new Instant Pot, too. It makes awesome bone broth in record time with a minimum of fuss.
I’ll be starting my YRG yoga again in the new year. Then get a gym membership after the initial new years resolutionists crowd have passed through ~early Feb maybe. Should be through the twenty minutes daily yoga and into the thirty by then. Be ready to start doing some lifting again.
Continue pursuing my more creative side that’s recently returned (thanks keto). Do some more painting, do some writing and keep creating in the kitchen.
I’m leaning heavily towards totally eliminating booze, instead of making it a new year’s resolution though. I think I’ll just mentally frame it as accidental alcohol fast (fast from alcohol, not a fast where I only drink alcohol lol) and see how long that works for me.
Best of luck to everyone on their resolutions, may you all have amazing success in 2019!
