pshhh that’s nothin’.
Another Carnivore Thread
If I didn’t have to factor in kids and visitation schedules on top of everything else I think I’d agree with you and just go for it. I have full custody of 3 kids, though, and they are my world. That would leave me free to actually spend roughly 2-4 days a month with her. That’s not fair to her and it’s not giving the relationship a real chance.
Yes, it did have some onion, tomato, and probably some jalapeño pepper since it was a little spicy. And you are right, it could be the additions to the avocado.
What I found interesting, though, was that it didn’t take much to cause the inflammation. I’m also sick with a nasty head cold, so my body could be hyper sensitive at the moment.
It could also be that since you had cut some of those ingredients out, your body is telling you very strongly that it doesn’t want them added back in. This happened to me with tomatoes.
Although, avocado scores high on the histamine chart…
It could also be the cold…
Love a duck, we need Sherlock here
This is me. The more I eat the better the weight drops off. I eat less I stall out. Love that about carnivore…eat to lose weight best darn perk of the whole plan LOL
That is the thing, no one truly knows what the foods do to them until they drop them for longer term. Add them back and then you see what a disaster they are to your body…for whatever reason…inflammation and more, sure. Best part of our plan, take it away and then you add it back and you see personal results. A lot of us are that sensitive and we never knew it to that level. But a nasty cold monkeys with your fluids and more in your body. but you should run screaming from an avocado anyway HAHA hey that is my carnivore talking here LOL
I don’t know what other’s might be eating but I have to say on carnivore…for me personally, this is just me and my own findings that I know of… I NEVER gain one ounce no matter how much I eat or drink on carnivore. IF I NEVER allow any carbs into my day. I am the exact same number on the scale from my carnivore eating and drinking every single morning until the scale gives me a 1/2 lb. or 1 lb. drop eventually.
If I do dirty carnivore of any kind with carby foods the scale will be up. Even just a few tenths, but it is up. On carnivore if I eat my normal 2 lbs or so it is never up. I always found this fascinating for my personal scale journey.
I guess we are all so different. Plus tho I never eat late into the evening, if I do that, I will be up a lb. or so on the scale obviously. If I finish my eating by, say, latest 7 pm I just don’t have that up on the scale.
interesting how it goes down different for all of us.
I can eat sauerkraut - one dinner I will be fine and one other regular day my face will be covered in red blotches…
It could probably be a combo of everything
Histamine builds up over the course of the day. If you have something high in histamine in the morning, you might not have any symptoms because you haven’t yet gone over your tolerance. Then, if you ingest more histamine over the course of the day, you will go past tolerance and then the symptoms break out.
So, it could be that having sauerkraut one time and you’re under your tolerance and another time the kraut put you over your tolerance.
I believe that’s why for years I always had a stuffed nose at bedtime. I even commented to my husband about it once. “It’s strange, I always have a stuffed nose in the evening, and then I’m fine when I wake up. I wonder why?” Then I eliminated a lot of histamine containing foods from my diet; and Voila, no more stuffed nose at night. Well… unless I’m naughty.
My Unicorn is driving to SC today.
Not really sure how this is going to go and frankly almost terrified.
In my 18th day of Keto here…still looking at Carnivore WOE. I see above where Fangs eats about 2 lb of meat per day. How much meat does everyone else eat per day? Say especially for anyone in the 200lb weight area?
I’m about 165 and I typically eat over 2lbs a day. Yesterday I ate a 3lb (before cooking) tube of ground beef. In the beginning a lot of carnivore vets will tell you to eat as much as you want because your body is healing from years of poor eating.
I will caution you, if you are thinking of making the leap, look at your recent diet to see how high in oxylate it is. If it’s high you might want to go carnivore in steps. Oxylate dumping is no joke.
thanks Bob. I’d already started to cut out spinach. Then the last few days something weird happened, my lower legs started itching and dry skin down there…didn’t think anything of it though.
Can ya’ll tell the difference in the taste of the hamburger meat in one of those tubes vs ground chuck?
Thanks Virginia. wow, whole new vocabulary to learn here.
So no spinach on the Carnivore diet eh?
Hi all and Merry Christmas.
I’m reading this in bits and pieces. If you’ve followed the Fettke saga and listened to Belinda speak you already know some of this but it’s worth being familiar with.
yea adaption for each of us is so different.
like for me it was easy cause I was low carb to extreme low carb so when I hit carnivore I was thru adaption time mostly.
but for many it can be very tough. The toxins we dump can cause havoc. And that is why we have to keep the faith in carnivore. Many change to this eating and find it very tough thru adaption and blame eating meat only…when that isn’t the case at all. Toxin dumping and more. It is the problem and one we all do have to get thru on our own journey.
Keep the Faith on carnivore cause after that adaption time, the benefits are so thrilling and life changing. Many sing the praise of this eating style!!
