I’m currently eating tiny salmon patties (egg, salmon, mayo, pork rinds) and melted pepperoni and cheese with a dab of Rao’s no sugar added marinara. It’s delish. No veg this go around but I’ll be having some tomorrow!
Are the pork rinds ground up in your salmon patties? I guess what I’m asking for is your recipe.
People Eating T-bones AndRibeye?
I don’t think I’ve eaten a ribeye in my life…so went to the market 2 days ago and bought one. Yow. Expensive. Ate it today. No big deal. For me, rather just have 3 times 70/30 hamburger for the price.
I get thin sliced ones when they are on sale and fry them up for breakfast. So good!
I eat mostly ground beef. Steak is for special occasions or, like tonight, when I gave my kids the ground beef I had precooked for my dinner since they didn’t want the pork I pulled out for them. I had some sirloin steak in the freezer from catching a sale at Lidl so I’m thawing one. I’m eating the pork, too, but pork just doesn’t do it for me. I much prefer beef… well, most of the pork. I really don’t care much for pork anymore, except for belly.
I do love ribeye but I have to catch a good sale.
Yeah, it’s
1 can salmon
1 egg
couple tbsp mayo
salt pepper to taste
pork rinds until it’s a decent consistency for making patties and frying.
I also add chopped onions but I get that you don’t eat them and tonight I made without onions and they were still super tasty!
Anyone heard from @Shinita lately?
I realized I haven’t seen her around in a few days.
@barefootbob She was here 17 hrs ago according to her profile.
yea I don’t do well on veggies. They bloat my guts etc. I hate them. I had no trouble leaving them behind
I would whither without ribeye steaks. They are a staple for me definitely.
Love that shirt!
I think I had visited Bad Idea T-Shirts or some such site, and found the PETA one …People Eating Tasty Animals. Giant steak on the front. I told my hubby I wanted to buy about 20 of them to give away with the larger beef orders.
So… I have a Diet Coke addiction, even though it is caffeine free. I have quit it many times only to start drinking it again when I’m stressed.
Today, I am getting back on the wagon!
yea, I hear you on that. My poison was diet caffeine free pepsi.
I rarely drink it now but it took years to drop it. I would drop it, drink it again, drop it and go back to it again LOL I feel ya on that!
Usually if I get a hankering for a pepsi and rum…I use it but I basically have no draw to alcohol now so that kinda gave up my reason for keeping the diet pepsi in my life.
you’ll get there. just keep working on it. best you can do. good luck
Question for everyone…Is say Oscar Mayer bacon so bad what with the nitrites in it and quite processed? Or is that just another old myth?
Oscar Meyer bacon causes me issues, not so much due to the nitrates, but the sugar it’s cured with. It causes me more problems than most bacon.
@DavyKOTWF Nitrates from salts are way better than “uncured” bacon which is processed with dehydrated celery juice or powder as a source of “natural” nitrates and the benefit of extra oxalates for your overall health!
Nitrate itself is harmless and necessary for biological functions. You’re saliva glands produce 100s X the nitrate everyday than you would get from eating a pound of bacon. The whole “nitrates are bad for you” myth is up there with salt and fat being unhealthy. I’m not going into an MSG rant, I’ll spare you that until someone asks about that racist bullshit!
Myself I am not sensitive to sugar at all in the amounts that are present in bacon or and cured meats. Just a few carbs at the worst. There’s probably as much sugar in liver as bacon. I’m so close to zero carb most days that a few grams of sugar have no consequences.
