My sister talked me into a powerlifting meet at the end of April so I’ve been working hard on my bench and deadlift. I cannot believe how I keep hitting PR’s every week in the gym!! I just keep feeling stronger every day!! This is my 300# deadlift I did just today. I weigh 157. Been keto 5 months. Definitely had a lull in performance until about week 6 and from there it just keeps getting better. I’m reminded every day that this WOE is definitely for me!!
A new PR every week!
Amazing! You made it look easy!
I made it my personal goal to be able to do a pull up by the end of the year. I’m a weightlifting newbie but I love it!
Given the strength of your posterior chain with your amazing deadlift, I bet you could work to some pull ups in fairly short order. It’s a different muscle chain, but working it might even improve your deadlift a bit.
I can jump half way and pull the rest but that’s all so far. It’s definitely a goal of mine; I have some new encouragement to give it a go now
Impressive!!! Where you lifting before you started keto?
Good luck at the meet, keep us posted on how you do there.
Negatives are a good way to build towards full reps.
But your deadlift is awesome. Inspirational.
Yes I’ve lifted most of my adult life; however it’s only been since keto that I’ve been able to push myself through tough things. I always had hypoglycemia and would bonk easily. Not an issue anymore!!!
This is really cool that you posted a video.
I’m going to be sure my friends see it.

My favorite lift is the leg press, and I’m up to 810 now. You have inspired me to double down on my deadlift goals. Thanks.
@Brenda I’ve heard your story on a few different podcasts and you’re quite inspirational yourself!! And btw…your pork rind pancakes have become my new favorite breakfast
