7 days fasting and feeling great

(Carpe salata!) #1

Just on the morning of day7 now and feeling great.

I went into the fast with a funny knee and a bad lower back.

But now my skin is better, I can walk up and down stairs easily (unlike before) and my back feels normal again. Maybe I even lost a couple of kilos but I’m not measuring. I think fasting clears away excess junk in your system, not only fat. I feel like there is much less inflammation.

Anyway, just checking in with my update.

Well done, Peter, congratulations. That is great.

How many days are you hoping to go until?

Thanks

I planned this one to be a week so that means a proper dinner tonight. Last year I did four 5-day fasts with water only. This time over the week (total) I had about 3 litres of bone broth, a cup of tea and a tomato. I had to have the tomato and the cup of tea one night because I was visiting my mother to see if she liked the bone broth I made. I chopped a tomato into it for us to make it more of a meal - although she knows about fasting and has done it too, in the past.

Well congrats on the week, and that is great that you have your mom doing it as well =). Is she also doing Keto?

No. She has her own routine, old and lives alone. But she was ok having bone broth and chopped tomato in it for dinner. :tada:
