5.5 weeks in and decided to fast

Started Keto before Halloween cause I am a gluten for puniishment. Pretty sure i am fat adapted at this point, lost 16.5 lbs, and ready for an EF. So far I have been, good with no cheats, and I want this fast to be a successfull one. Went to a wedding last night and gorged on alcohol and meat, ended up tacking on 2lbs as a result which is what likely triggered my desire to fast. My goal is approximately 72 hours. I stopped eating at 10pm last night (not normal, usually I am done by 6pm for the day). General stats. I am a 41 y/o male, 5’7" 192 lbs. No family history of diabetes and not diabetic. Questions are as follows

What do you all typically consume during a fast? My current plant is black coffee in the morning, perhaps some plain tea during the day, and cup of beef broth at night. A daily multi-vitamin, and hot salt water as needed.

I plan on breaking my fast with a bullet proof coffee on Wednesday morning, and slowly ease back into eating.

I don’t plan on breaking my fast unless I start to feeling chilly on my extremeties, or just feeling liike general crud.

Thoughts? Tips? Words of encouragement? All appreciated and thank you.

Coffee with cream is what I drink.
Black coffee is better.
Beef broth is a great idea.

Keep yourself busy with errands, busy work, low impact low intensity exercise (walking).
The more distraction you organize / plan, the more successful your plan will be.
Pay attention and feel your first signs of hunger pains. Go for a 20 min walk as soon as you feel the first significant one. Learn to relax and understand it’s not a sign of hunger it’s mere hormones reminding you to do as you have done before - eat. Your body will be fine, it has some stored energy to work from.

Relax and KCFO.

What could be some triggers ? How can you avoid them ? Plan how you are going to handle them beforehand.

Fasting in more mental than physical.

Try some Yoga meditation before you resort back to food.

If you and your body aren’t ready to fast, try something really small, FAT only (like some cheese), try taking 30 minutes to eat the small piece of cheese. Relax and see if that gets you over the craving feeling.

The hardest day is day 2. Days 4,5,6 were super easy for me. Day 7 I got dehydrated and got a headache.
