30 day Meal Plan heavy on Fat

(Bob) #1

I work long hours and don’t want to make a meal when I get home from work. I have been making one week’s meals on the weekend but it takes 3 hours. I’m hoping to make large recipes and freeze 3-4 portions for later in the month. I can find recipes for dishes with protein but I’m having a hard time finding recipes with significant fat (<80% fat) that I can freeze. I have tried freezing egg dishes but not very good when reheated

Anyone have recipes that can be freeze? Thanks.

What about adding fat after or before you warm them up to eat? Butter, mayo, olive oil. Is an easy way to add fat to your meals.

soups[1] [2] [3] and curry (like saag paneer) tends to freeze well and is easy to make in bulk
meatballs freeze well, then just heat up some sauce like raos and make chocolate mousse in a blender for fat heavy dessert
chili made with bacon freezes well (halve the vegetable portion for less carbs, and add full fat sour cream for more fat)

My favorite high fat freezer meal is bacon meatloaf. I like it because you may freeze small loaf before freezing or freeze individual servings after cooking.

I’ve frozen cheeseburger casserole well, it’s high fat when you us 70-75% beef and keep the bacon nectar in the meat :bacon::sunglasses:

Also look at Linda’s lowcarb casseroles, stick to the starred ones for low carb and higher fat… add more fat where you can.
