3 day fast questions

#1

MY FIRST POST!! I’ve been doing Keto now since Feb 1, 2018. Started at 256 LB and am now at 226:) I’ve been easily doing 24 hour fasts and want to up my game to a three day fast. I want to eat a minimum of calories (water fast?) but don’t want to have electrolyte problems.
So here’s my question:

  1. Is there an electrolyte drink I should take?
  2. Can I take my daily vitamins and other supplements (picture below)?
  3. Can I still drink ACV if I’m not eating anything?
    Thanks for your patience:)

These are my supplements

Those are a lot of supplement, Not saying whether they are good or bad. My concern in general would be how many carbs are you getting? Most vitamins have fillers

Go to Zorn Fast under the forum categories. Brenda has a recipe for KetoAide to use during fasting.

Keep it simple. Most bodies can sustain 72 hours without any food or supplements. Take them if you want, but they’re not required.

thanks I’ll check it out

@ptisme I would suggest a supplement Holiday during your fast. It is a good time to reevaluate which supplements are serving you and make room for the possibility that you don’t need them anymore. Your body will be changing and what is needed will change. I see fasting as a rest.

I vacillate between numerous supplements to few but take no supplements during extended fasts. I try to get what I need from whole food rather than processed components of food. I am a firm believer of synergy. The exception to this is D3 and magnesium. I will take magnesium daily and take loading doses of D3 (50,000 iu 1 x week).

Many people visit Zornfast posting to get the ketoaide recipe. I have never found it necessary but would use that if I encountered problems.

ACV is probably good for ya.

Good luck, this is a very supportive and informative place. Hope to hear what you decide.

Supplement holiday it is. Thank you all for taking time to respond

How is this working for you without these supplements? I’ve been wanting to know the same thing for a while. Just sticking to my B12 and iron because I know I need those the most.

I haven’t done it yet. Will post back when I do.
