2 minute Cabbage and Aged Cheese

(Christopher Avery) #1

I ordered this dish as a side with lamb shoulder last week at The Morrison in Sydney, NSW, Australia.
It is so simple! And good! But not much to look at.

  1. Finely shred cabbage
  2. Add just a hint of red onion
  3. Cover with your favorite aged hard cheese (I’m using pecorino romano locatelli.)

Tonight I’m pairing it with pulled pork (and wine of course).

Keto on.

Is the cabbage cooked in any way … or is it all just “raw”? (It looks good and I want to try it)

Jody, the cabbage is raw. I could not detect any kind of dressing at the restaurant as the cabbage and bowl were dry. Easy fast superfood.

So … raw cabbage, onion and hard cheese … I like it.

I LOVE cabbage and cheese and onions so this seems right up my alley. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing this. I love aged cheese and I cabbage is a staple at my house. Only thing I might do is add a touch of red or orange peppers, for some color, the red onion doesn’t add too much color.

I used to live in Sydney, miss it everyday. Lucky duck you, being there.

Love your peppers idea. And yes, Sydney was great.
