15 day fast at lower BF range

I’m actually stationed in Virginia, from AR originally.

No worries Michelle, we started out with IF and worked our way up. The first time I went 24 hours, I went home and sat on the bed all night. It get’s easier the more you do it. Fung says it’s like working a muscle and I’d agree, the body seems to have an amazing capacity to remember things, like what time you eat on a specific day, even if it’s different from all other days, and make you hungry at that time…

Hi Biff,
Thanks for sharing your journey! This was great to read through, super interesting. Did you break your fast? Did you notice any improvements in the fatty lipomas? How is your wife doing?

Hi Theresa,

Thanks for the feedback.

I have not yet broke the fast. I’m going to work out later this morning (hopefully after some more sleep!). My plan is to have a light meal with lots of fat.

There does not seem to be a large change in the lipomas. I’ve noticed that several of them are smaller, one in my thigh was the size of a golf ball a year ago when starting this process, it’s now 1/4 the size. The smaller ones in the back of my arms are the same size and number. Not sure why I have them (genetics plays a role, and maybe trauma from high school football) but they are very numerous there, and some are very small, I thought some of the really small ones might be reduced to nothing but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Maybe an extended fat fast would do them in, that’s a future experiment.

The wife is doing great. We got off sync last week when she broke fast due to dehydration but after a few days of re-feeding she jumped back on and is now on day six of 16+, she has a goal to keep working on insulin resistance through weight loss and may push it further, thanks for asking!

Take care,

Tim

I’ve been irregularly doing IF for years with a few extended fasts and noticed all my skin tags disappear after just going LCHF, but I’ve had lipomas for so long, I forgot about them until I read this.

Mine were never the size of a golf ball, but at the moment I can’t find any of them, so I’m tentatively concluding that they’re gone, or at least so small I can’t discern them from regular tissue. NSV!
