Mine was born into the work. Certified Working K9, albeit private contract; we aren’t LE at all. He’s not a pet but my partner.
Though he does love snacks, his impulse control is on point, and his main drive for reward is his ball.
Your dogs - let's see them
We had Dozers DNA tested. Because of his history. His mom was purebread GSD dad was a BM, out of the 5 puppies that made it. He looked totally different. His brother looks like a purebred. His 2 sisters looked purebred. 1 sister looks different, and so did he. So the DNA said 3/4 GSD, the 1/4 Tibetan mastiff. Made sense he resembles the Tibetan. Just very happy he didn’t get the fur!! He sheds bad enough!
My friend’s Bostons, they come over for some dog-sitting every once in a while…
I almost had a heart attack, because I couldn’t find Lilu

Haha; I almost missed Lilu!
We used to dog sit for a Boston. Of course, he slept on the bed with us and would get underneath the covers and had to lay next to me - such an angel, but he was prickly - and a little heater!
Yup, they are little heaters
Tara doesn’t like to cuddle and snuggle, but these two are adorable, Chili lies between me and the couch and Lilu curls up between your legs. That annoyed look from both, when I get up…
Chili snores, they both fart…not the classiest dogs, but they are wonderful in character
Boston Terrier farts are notoriously lethal. Good thing those guys are so sweet, affectionate and charming. There are quite a few in my family; a sister, a niece and a nephew all have them. BT’s are so cute and seriously rambunctious when they get together and start playing!
And yes they are little heaters. My sister’s BT likes to sit next to me on the couch, she backs up until her hind end is plastered against my leg.
They tried switching foods and found one that keeps those farts away
Chili has that proper Boston mug, he snores worse than an old man, Lilu is more quiet and, like a lady or my Tara, moody and calculating while Chili is a gentle soul with a little stupid on his face.
They fit their countries of origin in a very stereotypical way.
Yeah, Katie snores significantly and I find it oddly comforting. She also has eyes that don’t exactly focus in the same direction. My sister adopted her as an older dog whose original mom had passed away, but we think she may have had an eye injury when she was younger that caused her to be a little cockeyed (Boston’s are particularly vulnerable to eye injuries). It makes her appear maybe not so bright and totally adorable.
A special version of an already special doggie
From a few years ago…the suffering…
Six water and food bowls, messy eaters(water dripping, kibble flying everywhere), farts…my house was a mess
So far, just in the kiddie pool
But my GF wants to get the dogs those little wing style doggie jackets, to give the little ones some help. Granted, we will be with them the whole time anyway.
Wow ! What a beautiful dog ! I love Shepherds
Please. I bet those two have nothing on an English Bulldog. My delicate fleur farts like a teenaged boy and snores so loud people can hear her through multiple closed doors. You wouldn’t guess it from this sweet innocent face.
