You clearly eat a poor diet: take the test!

I just tried the Dieticians Association of Australia’s healthy eating quiz. I got 19 out of 73 and apparently my diet “needs work”. There’s a lot more detail underneath: my favourite bit was when I was told “Grains are also an excellent source of vitamin E and to top it off, they are cholesterol free!”. So they are obviously well up to date with dietary cholesterol research!!

Frankly, the whole thing was hysterical, but scary at the same time.

What score will you get?

“Overall: Needs Work (13 out of 73). Your total Australian Recommended Food Score is low.”

:scream:

We have record so far… 8/73… way to go!:clap::clap:

Can anyone beat that?

(Ashley) #7

I also got 8/73 since I eat mostly meat!

Dayum new highscore

(Alec) #9

I feel dirty now getting 19/73. :joy::joy:

(Ashley) #10

I actually had to re read stuff since I was marking everything as never lol!

(Alec) #11

You need to be honest and not game it!! :joy:

(Ashley) #12

I was just so surprised I was saying 1 or never to everything lol!

#13

Ur bronze medal is now mine with double 8’s on silver and gold.

12/73.

Biggest wrist slap was a zero score for grains.

Grains, breads and cereals provide carbohydrate, the bodies preferred form of fuel for your muscles, energy for your daily activities and for growing bodies.

Apparently I have no energy? I just surfed for 2 hours in the southern Indian Ocean in autumn on a rising 3m swell with no breakfast. :zipper_mouth_face:

It’s a food frequency questionnaire! At least keto eaters, especially IF/EF And OMAD, will provide real data.

I love how the bread question bound “never” and “I don’t know” as one answer. As if the researchers could not believe that people do not eat bread, hence they just forgot they did.

Also that serves of cheese were bound up with crackers or as cheese toasties.

Speaking of intermittent fasting, it would be hard to answer the “how many times a day?” format questions.

The researchers will get some interesting data.

A good reminder that the dietary mainstream is still flowing strongly and continues to erode the health of the general population. It keeps the dietary confusion rife and epidemiolologists in employment.

(Hyperbole- best thing in the universe!) #16

This is what I’m trying to avoid.

#17

Overall 20/73
Apparently my dairy could be better. I actually eat quite a bit of dairy. The problem with these quiz’s is they don’t really have the answer you want to put down most of the time :-/

#18

16… and no option for how much chicken liver or sweetbreads I eat :frowning:

(Alec) #19

They did ask an open question on what else you eat! I wonder what the hell they do with that!!

#20

Heh, yeah… I actully did write it in there… they will probably have to google sweetbreads
