Yee-haw, mental clarity!

Every 3 months, our company engages in an audit of sorts that involves all sorts of calculations, assessments, and summaries. We just began one.

I am THRILLED (!!!) to report that I was more than TWICE as productive this past quarter than the previous one. Also, as I read through my summaries from April, I keep finding mistake-after-mistake. The small errors just jump out at me.

I’ve noticed that words come to me more easily. I do a couple of video lectures each month, and this last time, I was able to shoot all the videos in 1-2 takes (instead of 4-5). And it was gratifying to see that my face is more sculpted and animated. My hair looks a little weirder, oily at the scalp and dry at the ends, but I’m not about to complain.

I do get tired of other people’s reactions. I wonder how many more times I’ll hear someone say I’m being “a little extreme” by doing IF and eliminating all starches. If it’s twice a month for the next 20 years (after which the general population will come around) that’s about 500 more times, lol.

I wish people would keep those opinions to themselves. It is like the are trolling in person. I tend not to talk about it much. However I have a naturalized Ethiopian computer scientist that works for me. While he is not keto he eats an avacado a day and eats this food they cook that smells so good. So leading up to easter I did not smell the food at lunch time. I asked him what was up? Where is the food?

He said he was doing a 40 day fast as a religious fast. He drinks water with lemon. I’m guessing he is taking electrolytes.

So he doesn’t say anything to me about my diet.

And congratulations on the mental clarity. Woot.

I just find it amazing that people will let you stuff your face with donuts and crap, even if you are diabetic, overweight and unhealthy because it would be rude to comment, but tell someone about your low carb diet . . .

Hahaha yeah people are funny… they offer you a cookie, you decline, they try again to make you take it, you decline, they ask if you’re sick or why you won’t have it, you say you don’t eat carbs, they ask ten million questions about it, you patiently answer while you really want to do something else but want to be polite, they gossip with other people about how you’re always talking about your diet. :woman_shrugging:

Interesting thing about starch (e.g. wild rice or potato’s) is that if you did not eat processed carbohydrates and refined sugar or maybe even an excessive amount of natural sugar is that it is actually really good for you and seems to increase the human life-span to a considerable degree and has the least effect on a person who is in Ketosis or fat-adapted? Seemingly it becomes a bad thing when refined sugar and processed foods are thrown into the mix? i.e. natural un-processed starches in Whole Foods?
