Working out

Hi Guys,

I’m new to the Keto Diet I have only been following the diet for the past week. I’m starting back at the gym this week and I will be mainly doing weight lifting. Will I be able to take Creatine Monohydrate on a daily basis and will this affect my Ketosis state?

I will not be increasing my protein levels but I will be looking to take creatine to help muscle gains. I know my levels will be lower than what I am normally due to the change in my diet. Just wanted any tips if you guys have been through the same process.

I’m around 170 lbs and 5ft 10, looking to get lean and build a little muscle over time.

Appreciate any responses in advance

Plenty of people take it and swear by it. I’m actually trying it myself at the moment as so many say how good it is. Haven’t noticed any benefits at all but it doesn’t affect my level of ketosis at all.

Just be sure to check the ingredients to make sure nothing nasty has been added, same applies for all supplements.

There is no need to take Creatine when you start working out. You’ll have initial noob gains naturally. What Creatine is use full for is for breaking plateaus after you have gained muscle naturally. Genetics is a huge determinant, whether you’re the type that easily gains muscle, or if you’re a Hardgainer. Usually it takes months or even years of training before you need it, it’s not magic, although it’s marketed as such.

If you’re training, I suggest the 60/35/5% macro, a little higher in protein and lower in fat than the typical keto macro, which is more appropriate for the sedentary and severely metabolically deranged.
