Hi folks. I’m pretty new here and I’m trying a Keto diet for the second time. My question is my doctor has been treating me for very high inflammation. He says I have high inflammation markers in my blood tests. So my question is, would this high inflammation be the reason I’m not, losing weight yet on this type of,eating? I have been keeping my carbs (not subtracting out fiber) at 17 grams or less. I have been doing this for over a week and no weight loss at all. Do I need to heal first before I’ll lose? Thank you for your answers and insight.
Will inflammation keep me from losing weight?

The quick answer id yes. A ketogenic WOE is primarily for healing metabolic derangements as it’s primary function and the loss of weight is a secondary benefit that will eventually come as the body continues to heal.

Greetings and welcome!
A week is WAY too early to tell anything about anything. You’re not even fat adapted yet. Give it a MONTH, and see where both your weightloss AND your inflammation are…
