If you’re hungry, eat. It’s that simple.

We don’t know everything that’s happening inside our bodies, but hunger singles are saying it needs more fuel for whatever it’s working on.

So up your fat during your meals or have a meal early and make sure there’s lots of fat. Give your body what it’s asking for.

What does your primal gut instinct tell you about the request for food?

Is it dreaming about the act of eating a particular food for pleasure, or are the atoms in your body crying out for sustenance (vitamins and minerals) to aid in repair and restoring energy levels? What are those hunter gather instincts telling you?

I dont know if its cause I’m just back to midnights after a week off and I need to switch my eating routine to the “norm” for me. I basically only eat 2 meals a day. So I dont eat while I’m at work then eat before going to bed and eat again when I get up. I’m probably not eating enough in those times…

Bingo!! That’s gotta be it. I recovered from a stomach bug over the weekend, and I definitely didn’t get enough calories during that time. Monday arrived and all i wanted to do was snack! I knew I needed calories because my body was hungry. I didn’t feed the “snack” monster, which would’ve been digging around in pork rinds and carving off slices of cheese and spoonfuls of peanut butter - raising my insulin. Instead I took a tablespoon of coconut oil, let it slowly melt in my mouth, and drank a big cup of water. I did this a few times throughout the day when I had that panicky ravenous feeling. I got through it. Try feeding yourself something that isn’t necessarily yummy but that gives your body the energy it craves without spiking your insulin.
